主讲人介绍 Bio

Mark D.Butala于2010年获得UIUC电气和计算机工程博士学位。在2010年至2015年间，他是加州理工学院NASA喷气推进实验室的研究员。2016年至2017年，他是UIUC电气与计算机工程系的客座研究科学家。他于2017加入ZJUI任助理教授。

Mark D. Butala received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign (UIUC) in 2010. From 2010 to 2015, he was a member of the Technical Staff with the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology. From 2016 to 2017, he was a Visiting Research Scientist with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, UIUC. Since 2017, he has been with the Faculty of Zhejiang University where he is currently an Assistant Professor with ZJUI and the College of Information Science and Electronics Engineering.

在本次演讲中，我将分享我的个人历程和在相关科研工作中我所承担的角色，以及空间科学领域前沿知识、创新和颠覆。我将通过一些图像和视频来与大家分享壮丽的太空。

April 12th, the International Day of Human Space Flight, honors a historical inflection point, marking the day in 1961 when the heavens were first breached by a human. This single orbit is in some ways the first step, accomplished long before I was born, to NASA's successful landing of the Curiosity rover on Mars in 2012. In this presentation, I will share my personal journey and role in this endeavor and beyond to recent innovations and disruptions in the field of space science. I hope to capture and share with you the majestic grandeur of space through images and videos.
