新年深圳第一间新画廊丨那些出现在《飞地》封面的艺术家们

关于飞地艺术空间


文学与图像,文字、语言与造型和视觉,以及今天的诗歌和当代艺术,它们之间内在的角逐与界限,一直为我们所关注。早在2009年,我们开始邀请批评家鲍栋,以“当代艺术的诗性”为题,持续在诗歌杂志推介当代艺术,同时,这也是向艺术界试图呈现一个较为当下的写作生态。

2011年,我们与华·美术馆共同策划了一场题为“词场”的展览,首次集中地研究和呈现了一批在诗歌和艺术两种场域深入工作的艺术家和诗人。这次的展览,除了视觉艺术,还包括了声音、音乐和表演单元,它们与诗歌文本和历史文献一同落地在美术馆空间。

2012年,我们将杂志命名为《飞地》,开始更为开放性地介绍艺术家的创作,以期刊同名专题的方式探讨艺术与当下的关联。这些出现在封面的艺术家包括王俊、陈彧凡/陈彧君、李燎、关音夫、王蓬、陈晓云、蔡磊、徐小国、王光乐、王音、梁硕、何翔宇、王郁洋、杨心广、丁乙、王海洋、林科、姜吉安、郭熙/张健伶、刘辛夷、宋琨、吴杉、董大为、贺勋、孙晓枫。在飞地App,我们也开设了艺术专题。此后,飞地又将这一具体工作转向至空间,从2017年开始,策划了一系列当代艺术的展览。

今天,Enclave Contemporary作为飞地全新创立的艺术空间,一方面,我们将沿袭过去工作的脉络,持续参与当代艺术的现场,同时,也将更为专注地致力于当代艺术的学术、研究、出版和推广工作,以发现和创造性的实践,与艺术家共同深入活力与激变并行的时代。

We have always been concerned about the inherent contentions and boundaries between literature and images, between writing, language and shapes, visuality, and poetry and contemporary art today. As early as 2009, we have invited art critic Bao Dong to introduce contemporary art in poetry magazines under the title "Poets Circle" which was also an attempt to present a more current writing ecology to the art world.

In 2011, we co-curated an exhibition titled "Wordscape" with the Hua Art Museum in Shenzhen, which focused for the first time on a group of artists and poets engaged in their respective fields. This time, in addition to presenting visual art, the exhibition also includes sound, music, and performance, which will be on view in the museum space along with poetry, writing, and historical documents.

In 2012, we named the magazine Enclave and began to openly introduce the artists' practices, exploring the relevance of art to the present in the periodical form with an eponymous feature.

These artists appeared on the journal cover include Wang Jun, Chen Yufan/ Chen Yujun, Li Liao, Guan Yinfu, Wang Peng, Chen Xiaoyun, Cai Lei, Xu Xiaoguo, Wang Guangle, Wang Yin, Liang Shuo, He Xiangyu, Wang Yuyang, Yang Xinguang, Ding Yi, Wang Haiyang, Lin Ke, Jiang Ji' an, Guo Xi/ Zhang Jianling Liu Xinyi, Song Kun, Wu Shan, Dong Dawei, He Xun, Sun Xiaofeng.

In the Enclave App, we have also set up an art feature. Since then, Enclave has shifted this specific endeavor into physical space, where we have curated a series of contemporary art exhibitions starting in 2017.

Enclave Contemporary, an art space founded by Enclave, will, on the one hand, continue the approach we have adopted in the past in engaging with the contemporary art scene. On the other hand, it will dedicate efforts in the academic, research, publication, and promotion of contemporary art, exploring and generating practices with the artists into an era of dynamic and radical changes.

出现在《飞地》封面和书芯的艺术家,他们某一时期的创作景观被刊登在杂志上,除了装帧层面一改期刊整体的风貌与气息,它也带着独特的学术视野和审美倾向,向既有的艺术体系之外的一部分人群,传递和探讨着当今社会的艺术运动,尤其是,对于艺术家同时期的写作者,和那些忠于欣赏诗歌的读者,他们领受着来自活力暗涌的艺术革新。某种意义上,艺术,诗歌,文化,和创造性事件,等同于激变时代的精神飞地。

另一个层面,封面作为词语还承载着一种功能正由纸本走向空间,象征着一次首要行动的集体仪式。在相似纲领的指引下,关于艺术的景观重新从 平面回到空间,它们将经由语言、数学和透视的精心布局,被妥当展示在各自合理的三维所在。无论作为过去式的名词,还是象征意义浓烈的动词,封面意味着飞地更为具体地指向当代艺术的工作,拓展了一种立体的模式。这个展览的呈现,既是一次小而美的回顾,也是全新的开辟和展望。

The artists' practices from a given period artists appearing on the cover and the ensuing pages of Enclave are featured in the magazine. In our new edition, other than a complete makeover from the past issues, the content also carries a unique academic vision and aesthetic affinity to convey and explore the artistic movements in today's society to those outside of the established art system. Writers of the artists' contemporaries and those avid aficionados of poetry will deliver artistic innovation from a dynamic undercurrent to our readers. In a sense, art, poetry, culture, and creative events define a spiritual enclave in an era of radical change.

On another level, the term on the cover functions to transform what' s on paper into the physical space, symbolic of a collective ritual of our first action. Bearing a similar aim in mind, we would like to return the site of contemporary art practice from print to physical space through language, mathematics, and perspectives and display them in the most fitting manner. Whether as a noun in past tense or as a compelling verb with symbolic significance, our inaugural exhibition, "Cover" suggests that the Enclave will dedicate its effort to the work of contemporary art and expand into the three-dimensional model. This exhibition's presentation is both a small but beautiful retrospective and a new beginning and outlook into the future.
