Athletic Team and S.U. Member

Cristian, a CSC Scholarship owner, has a master’s degree in International Relations and will soon get his doctoral degree in International Politics.

During his time in CCNU, he joined a lot of competitions and activities such as sports teams, art clubs and dragon boat racing. Besides, he was also a member of the chess team and student union. In the field of law, he cooperated with some partners and initiated a law magazine in Chile.

“We are in a society that is constantly and gradually evolving and every day comes with new challenges, so it’s better for us to make constant progress.”

After finishing law school, he opened his own firm and participated in different congresses as expositor and tutor. In addition, writing articles for magazines and newspapers around the world is one of his interests as well. In the academic field, he used to be an assistant teacher and at the same time, several articles he wrote were published in Italy, Chile and Bolivia.

When the epidemic broke out, he dedicated himself to China. He made hundreds of calls to find suppliers and freight deliveries and coordinated in between to help hospitals which were in desperate needs of supplies. “We were pressed for time and the urge to make fast reactions. And the great efforts led to a greater goal. We have to think as one unity because that’s the key for a better world.”

Now that he is to return home in several days, he wants to do something for his country. He’s already started to write down everything he knows about the virus and how China deals with it.

Meanwhile, he will bring home the harvest of all these years and he won’t stop here. The next challenge he has in mind is to create ties between Africa and Wuhan for the development of a stronger relation.

“Live and enjoy every moment. Life is simple if you understand that every second you are building something bigger. Be patient, respectful, honest, tolerant, and learn as much you can, no matter it’s about the people, the culture or the country. Don’t be afraid of asking.”
