Editor's Note
Today, December 5th, is International Volunteer Day (IVD). It was designated by the United Nations in 1985 as an international observance to celebrate the power and potential of volunteerism.
As a CCNUer, we know that “Love in CCNU” is more than romance. It more commonly refers to the love of kindness. Over the past year, CCNU volunteers participated in many touching and meaningful activities.
The 3rd World Health Expo
From April 8th to 11th, 139 volunteers from CCNU helped the expo to run smoothly. The preparatory work started on April 5th. They were trained on common sense, rituals and there were special trainings for each post. During the expo, volunteers from CCNU helped the audience whole-heartily. On the morning of April 11th, the organizer held a commendation meeting and awarded 30 of CCNU volunteers as excellent volunteers and 5 of them were awarded excellent supervisors.
Nucleic acid testing
From August 4th to 6th, During the summer vacation, there were reports on new local COVID-19 cases, and CCNU volunteers around the country began to help as much as they could.
In CCNU, 88 volunteers responded to Wuhan government’s call and helped run the Nucleic acid testing for everyone in our school.
In the meantime, many students responded to the call of their local governments and became volunteers for epidemic prevention and control, which showed us the spirit of “Love in CCNU”.
