At Ken’s house, his father tells a story.
在肯的家里，他的爸爸讲了一个故事。
One day, a rich old businessman in a smalltown meets a factory worker, a coach and a fisherman.
一天，一位年迈富有的商人来到小镇，遇到一名工人，一名教练和一名渔夫。
He gives them three seeds and says, “Bringme the flowers in three months.
他给他们三颗种子，并说：“三个月后带鲜花来。
The man with the most beautiful flower canhave my money!”
拥有最美丽花朵的男人可以获得我的钱！”
After three months, the factory workerbrings a big red flower.
三个月后，工人带来一朵大红花。
The coach brings a small purple flower.
教练带来一朵紫色的小花。
But the poor fisherman brings nothing.
但可怜的渔夫什么也没带来。
He is very sad.
他很伤心。
“I don’t knowwhy!” he says.“I watered it every day.”
“我不知道为什么！”他说，“我每天都给它浇水。”
“You arehonest!” the businessman says.
“你说实话！”商人说道。
“The seeds arebad and will never sprout! The money is yours.”

The fisherman is very happy.
