Uganda is a country in east Africa. Its capital city is Kampala. The official languages of Uganda are Kiswahili and English. The national anthem of Uganda is  "Oh Uganda, Land of Beauty."

乌干达是东非的一个国家。它的首都是坎帕拉。乌干达的官方语言是斯瓦希里语和英语。乌干达的国歌是“哦，乌干达，美丽之地”。

Geography 地理与位置:

Uganda borders South Sudan to the north, Kenya to the east, Tanzania to the South, Rwanda to the south-west, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west. Uganda occupies a total area of 241,038 kms.

It shares Lake Victoria with Tanzania and Kenya. 

乌干达北部与南苏丹接壤，东部接肯尼亚，南部与坦桑尼亚交界，西南与卢旺达接壤，西部与刚果民主共和国接壤。乌干达总面积是241038平方公里。

它与坦桑尼亚和肯尼亚共享维多利亚湖。

Population and Ethnicities 人口和种族:

The population of Uganda according to 2018 estimate is 45 million people. 

Uganda is one of the countries that has rich ethnic diversity, the largest ethnic group in Uganda is the Ganda which makes up about 16.9% of the population, others such as Nkole, Soga, and Kiga tribes makes up 9.5%, 8.4%, and 6.9% respectively. There are many other tribes as well.

据2018年估计，乌干达人口为4500万。

乌干达是具有丰富民族多样性的国家之一，乌干达最大的民族是甘达族，约占人口的16.9%，其他民族如恩科尔族、索加族和基加族分别占人口的9.5%、8.4%和6.9%。还有许多其他民族。

Uganda is also known as the pearl of Africa, the phrase popularized by Winston Churchill when he wrote:

For magnificence, for variety of form and color, for profusion of brilliant life --bird, insect, reptile, beast -- for vast scale-- Uganda is truly "the Pearl of Africa."

乌干达也被称为“非洲之珠”，温斯顿·丘吉尔在写关于乌干达表示：

因为华丽，因为形式和颜色的多样性，因为丰富多彩的生物——鸟类、昆虫、爬行动物、野兽——因为地域辽阔的国度——乌干达真的是“非洲的珍珠”。

National Flag 国旗

The national flag of Uganda has six horizontal stripes of black, yellow, and red repeating from top to bottom, and on the center is a white circle with the grey crowned crane in it. 

乌干达国旗有六条从上到下的黑色、黄色和红色横条，中间是一个白色圆圈，圆圈内有灰冕鹤。

Kampala 坎帕拉

Kampala is the capital city of Uganda, situated in the South Central area of the country. Kampala was the capital of the Bugandan Kingdom several hundred years ago. The people of Kampala are known to be very friendly and social. The city of Kampala has a mixture of cultures. In this city, you’ll find African, Asian, European, and Middle Eastern cultures. Kampala is a good place for people that love traveling and visiting new places. Kampala has many attractions and lots of tourist activities going on there, you will find many shopping centers, museums, parks etc. 

乌干达首都坎帕拉在乌干达中南部。坎帕拉以前是布干达王国的首都。坎帕拉的人很友好也很会社交。在这里有来自世界各地的文化和谐共处。坎帕拉是旅游爱好者的最佳选择。在坎帕拉有很多旅游项目和活动，有很多购物广场，博物馆，公园等等。

Other cities/towns in Uganda include Nansana, Kira, Makindye Ssabagabo, Mbarara, Mukono, Gulu, Lugazi, Kasese etc.

乌干达的其他城市/城镇包括Nansana、Kira、Makindye Ssabagabo、mbarara、Mukono、Gulu、Lugazi、Kasse等。

Places of Interest 兴趣地点:

Bwindi National Park is where you can find the endangered mountain Gorillas. 

Rwenzori national park is famous for its mountain peaks, waterfalls, glaciers and lakes.

Bwindi国家公园这里你能看到珍稀和濒危的山地大猩猩的地方。Rwenzori国家公园以其山峰、瀑布、冰川和湖泊而闻名。

Crater lake, Volcano lake, Sipi falls, Murchison falls, lake Bunyonyi, Kidepo valley national park etc
