Mauritius is an island country in the Indian Ocean, its capital city is Port Louis. Languages in Mauritius include Creole, Bhojpuri, French, English, etc. Its official currency is Mauritian Rupee.

毛里求斯是印度洋上的一个岛国，其首都是路易港。毛里求斯的语言包括克里奥尔语、博杰普里语、法语、英语等，它的通用货币是毛里求斯卢比。

The population of Mauritius as of 2018 estimates is 1,266,000. The national anthem of Mauritius is “Motherland.” It describes the beautiful landscape of Mauritius and the qualities of its people, i.e. peace, justice, and liberty.

按2018年的人口统计毛里求斯大概有一百二十六万六千个人。毛里求斯的国歌是“祖国”，它描述了毛里求斯美丽的风景和人民的素质，即和平、正义和自由。

The national flag of Mauritius is also known as Four Bands because it consists of four horizontal bands of equal width, colored from top to bottom red, blue, yellow, and green.

Red represents the struggle for freedom and independence, blue represents the Indian Ocean, Yellow represents the light of freedom which is shining over the island, and green represents the agriculture of Mauritius.

The national bird of Mauritius is Dodo, while its national flower is Trochetia boutoniana or Boucled’Oreille.

The people of Mauritius are multiethnic, multicultural and multilingual, Mauritius is ranked as the most competitive and one of the most developed economies in the African region. The economy of Mauritius depends mainly on manufacturing, financial services, tourism, and information and communications technology. The chief minerals extracted from the island include basalts and lime.

毛里求斯的人民是多民族、多文化和多语种的，毛里求斯被列为非洲地区最发达的经济体之一。毛里求斯的经济主要依靠制造业、金融服务、旅游业以及信息和通信技术。毛里求斯的主要矿物包括玄武岩和石灰。

Some of the most beautiful sights in Mauritius include the Black River Gorges National Park, Ganga Talao, Charamel waterfalls, Alexandra waterfalls, Ile aux CerfsIsland etc.

Mauritius is divided into nine Districts which consists of different cities, towns andvillages, they are:

Riviere du Rempart, Pample mousses, Port Louis, Moka, Flacq, Riviere Noire, Plaines Wilhems, Grand Port, and Savanne.

As the capital city of Mauritius, Port Louis is the economic, cultural and political center of this nation. It is also home to the nation’s main harbor. There are numerou sbuildings and monuments in the city that reflects its rich and diverse history.
