The glory of German industry is not in the big firms that are known around the world, but it is in the small and medium-sized firms (SMEs). They make up 98% of all German companies and hire 80% of all employees.

The automobile production industry is one of the biggest in Germany, the manufacturing sector in Germany is known worldwide for its best quality products. Germany is also one of the largest global exporters of goods and services. It hosts 53 of the largest 2000 publicly listed companies by revenue globally. It is also home to more than half of the global trade fairs.

Germany is a top European automotive industry in both production and sales. It is known all over the world for the innovative, quality, and precise nature of German car manufacturers and suppliers. Products like Bayerische Motorenwerke (BMW), Daimler-Benz, and Volkswagen are well known and liked for their excellent engineering, innovation, safety, and designs.
