Ever wondered how many countries are still business as usual as if Covid-19 is just a myth? Well, prepare for a big surprise because the map below may just give you a very different opinion.
On the map above, deep red means the country is completely closed, light red(pink?) means the country is partially open, light green means it is preparing to reopen soon and dark green means the country is open.
Completely closed means
Only citizens, residents returning home, or people in other special circumstances may enter the country.
Partially open
Entrance into the country may depend on the traveler’s citizenship, point of origin, or other specific regulations.
Reopening soon
The country has announced a specific date for reopening, but certain entry requirements may still apply.
No restrictions means
The country has no formal entry restrictions in place, but is still monitoring the situation and may have other travel advisories in place.
In total, 96 countries are completely closed and 35 countries have no travel restrictions. Since there are many countries in the world, more than 200, we can't send a list of how the restrictions are implemented one by one. But we have prepared another article that you can read a summary of each country's restrictions. Just enter our page then click the chat button and send "restrictions" without quotes, and you will receive the article.
Note: By travel restrictions, we strictly mean travel by air into the country.
Subnote: Countries include sovereign states, overseas territories, constituent countries, and special administrative regions.
What do you think? Should the countries enforce travel restrictions or its not necessary? Let us know in the comment section!
