According to CCTV news report, as several Covid-19 vaccines have entered the final phase of clinical trials, the first Covid-19 vaccine production line is also under intense commissioning and installation. According to the official statement, technicians need to complete the trial production rate of 30,000 vaccines in one and a half hours. In the future, a total of three production lines will be able to ensure a daily output of 800,000 doses and an annual production capacity of 300 million doses.
According to previous reports, people who were the first to take covid-19 vaccine are still showing a high level of active antibodies. This suggests that the vaccine may have a long-term protective effect, although, exactly how long is yet to be proved.
In addition, there are media reports that two companies that have developed domestic inactivated vaccines are applying for conditional approval from the drug administration. Once approved, the maximum price of the vaccine is set to be around 600 yuan (88 US dollars).
Both vaccines need two injections and the price of each injection is 300 yuan. The final price has not been confirmed yet, but the price quoted should be more in line with expectations.
