Shen Qian was a very talented person who loved and cherished life, but unfortunately she suffered brain death due to a sudden illness. Despite the pain and grief her parents suffered after losing their daughter, they decided to help other people by donating her organs to those who needed them.

On October 1, while other people were starting the National Holiday reuniting with their family members, Shen Yingcai, 56, was signing his daughter's organ donation registration form. Her daughter died at a young age of 24, but she lit up the world for others and gave them a second chance in life.

Shen Qian was a teacher of Lianguang primary school in Shapingba District. Her father, Shen Yingcai, and her mother, Wang Jiaping are operating a barber shop at their hometown--Yongchuan. Ten days ago she experienced headache and fever, and at first she thought it was just a cold and went to Yongchuan local hospital for treatment.
On the morning of September 29, her condition suddenly worsened. After treatment failed in the local hospital, her parents rushed her to Jiangnan Hospital of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University for further treatment.
On the night of September 30, after emergency rescue by medical staff failed, Shen Qian died of brain stem failure. Her parents decided to donate their daughter's organs to save other people's life so that their child can continue to live in this world in another form. With the help of MI Zhizhi, the full-time coordinator of human organ donation of Chongqing Red Cross Society, they completed the donation process.
"We thought all night and came to a conclusion that it was good for our daughter to make this decision on her behalf." Shen Yingcai told hualong web - New Chongqing client reporter, "in this life, our fate with our daughter has come to an end, but by donating her organs, our daughter is still living."
In the eyes of both parents, saving someone after organ transplant means saving their daughter.

After the news broke out, it touched the hearts of a lot of people. Netizens praised their decision and someone decided to setup a crowdfunding to help the family go through this difficult time. In a very short period of time, people donated more than 20,000 RMB, but, as if donating their daughter's organs was not enough, the parents said they will still donate this money to more people in need.
Her organs saved six people, two patients with renal failure were saved by her kidneys, her liver saved two patients with liver failure, and her corneas helped two patients with eye diseases see the light again. And this is not all, because her body will also be donated to an institution for medical research.
Shen Qian's name will be engraved on the tombstone of Chongqing human organ donation Memorial Park for the world to remember her forever.
