Singapore is an island country in south-east Asia, it is comprised of 63 islands. Numerous land reclamation projects have increased its size and it is projected to grow to 766 kilometers squares by the year 2030. The official languages of Singapore are English, Malay, Mandarin, and Tamil.
新加坡是东南亚的一个岛国，由63个岛屿组成。为了扩大土地面积新加坡利用许多大规模的填海造地项目，预计到2030年，填海造地面积将增至766平方公里。新加坡的官方语言是英语，马来语，普通话和泰米尔语。
National Flag 国旗
The flag of Singapore consists of two equal horizontal stripes, the top one is red and the bottom one is white, at the upper left corner is a white crescent moon and five white stars forming a circle.

National Anthem 国歌
The national anthem of Singapore is “Majulah Singapura” which means “Onward Singapore.”

The currency used in Singapore is Singapore dollar.

National Flower 国花
The national flower of Singapore is Vanda Miss Joaquim. It was adopted as the national flower in April 15, 1918. It was chosen because of its resilience and year-round blooming quality.
新加坡的国花是卓锦·万代兰的胡姬花。其在1918年4月15日被定为国花。选择它的原因有两个一个是它的弹性，二者是它全年开花的优势。
Capital City 首都
The capital city of Singapore is Singapore! It is on the southern part of Singapore Island. Its deep-water harbor has made it the largest port in Southeast Asia and one of the world’s greatest commercial centers.

Singapore is also known as the “Lion City” or “Garden City,” due to its many parks and tree-lined streets. While predominantly Chinese, it has substantial minorities of Malays and Indians.

Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall 维多利亚剧院及音乐会堂
Despite the flashy and tallest buildings, Singapore also boasts numerical historical buildings, representing the rich history and culture that it possesses. Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall is one of them, it is a performing arts center in the Central Area. The whole complex was completed in 1909.

Thian Hock Keng Temple天福宫
Built in 1839 with the support of the Hokkien community, Thian Hock Keng Temple is Singapore's oldest Chinese temple. Dedicated to Mazu, the Goddess of the Sea, early Chinese immigrants came here to give thanks for their safe passage across the vast waves of the South China Sea.
天福宫建于1839年，是新加坡历史最悠久的华人寺庙，由福建社区支持兴建。早期的中国移民来到这里，向海洋女神妈祖表示感谢他们安全地穿越南海的浩瀚巨浪。
Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple 维拉玛卡里雅曼兴都庙
Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple is one of the oldest temples in Singapore. Built by Indian pioneers who went to work and live there, the temple was the first in the Serangoon area and became a focus of early Indian Social Cultural activities there.
维拉玛卡里雅曼兴都庙是新加坡最古老的寺庙之一。这座寺庙是由来这里工作和生活的印度先驱者建造的，是塞朗贡地区的第一座寺庙，成为早期印度社会文化活动的一个焦点。
Other main historical buildings include Sultan Mosque, St. Andrew's Cathedral, Fort Canning, etc.
