Shenzhen cracks down on visa and invitation letter agents

Shenzhen is cracking down on visa agents' activities and has put to a hold invitation letters issued by agents to better protect interests of foreign personnels in need of these services during the pandemic. The announcement was published on the city's government website on March 15.
In order to inforce new measures, policies have been adjusted to all personnel that visit the front desk to handle invitation letter from 15th of this month.
All forms of visa invitation letter agency are effectively prohibited. Violations of these measures will result in:
1、 Immediate disqualification of the organizations or personnels involved;
2、 The office will report and ask for immediate disqualification of already issued invitation letter to the parties involved;
3、 The office will report to the relevant department to cancel visa issued to foreigners who were invited by the organizations involved;
4、 Information of the organization, person-in-charge and the person who sent the documents to the office will be recorded in the integrity records of the organization and the individuals respectively.
5、 Clues related to violations shall be handed over to the public security and other departments for handling in accordance with the law.
