Guangdong Province will start accepting vaccination appointment by foreign residents subject to local age eligibility restrictions in the province starting April 12th. Recipients should sign up voluntarily and be aware of the risks and possible side-effects of vaccination.
The province will offer a domestic inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine to suitable candidates and recipients will take two jabs in total.
Cost
Foreign residents who have already joined Guangdong's social medical insurance scheme will get vaccinated for free.
But those who have not joined Guangdong's social medical insurance scheme will have to shoulder the cost of vaccines by themselves. It costs 100 RMB per jab.
How to:
To make an appointment online you will need to register yourself on Yuejiantong ‘粤健通’ Mini-Program by scanning the QR Code below. Please notice that the schedule of vaccination varies among cities.
Then you will choose "Vaccination" and proceed to make an appointment.
Note: So far, the app is in Chinese language.
After you have successfully made an appointment, you will need to bring your permanent residence ID card or your passport along with valid residence permit to a nearby medical center.
Medical staff will examine your situation and if you are fit to receive the vaccine, you will sign both a form of informed consent and a statement of bearing personal responsibility for all risks associated with vaccination.
Please take necessary precautions and inform the vaccine giving personnel of your health condition so that they can decide whether you can take vaccine or not. If you show any discomfort symptoms 14 days after vaccination, please seek medical attention.
