Man Throws 19K RMB in the Middle of the Road

Yesterday, news reports about a man in Hangzhou who threw away 19,800 yuan on the road went viral online, not only because he threw the money and walked away as if he don't care, but because a delivery person and a couple were filmed collecting the money and put them together waiting for the police to come pick them up.
That's right, the three not only stopped minding their own businesses but also violated the fundamentally universal rule of finders keepers and went to help collect the money just so it can be returned to the rightful owner.
Rightful Owner Found
His surname is Sun from Tianjin.
Mr. Sun's son was suffering from an intestinal disease and was admitted in a hospital since birth. One day he reportedly found on the internet that there is a hospital in Hangzhou that has advanced treatment for his son's illness.
Just as advertised, after six months of receiving treatment at the hospital in Hangzhou, Sun's son had recovered and was discharged from the hospital.
Why Did He Throw Away the Money?
Mr. Sun said a friend of his from Shanghai visited him that day and the two had a few drinks. While intoxicated he thought about how his son has recovered and how their preparations to return to Tianjin were disrupted due to the recent outbreak in Tianjin.
He can not take care of his elderly parents at home and yet he can't even return to his hometown. Just like that, he got emotional and threw away the cash he had, thinking that there is someone out there who might need it.
He told reporters that he always carried 20,000 cash during this time in case of emergency during his son's treatment, and it wasn't until he arrived at home that day that he found he had only 200 left.
But even so, he never thought about claiming the money back.
When the news went viral online yesterday, one neighbor recognized that the man in the news is him.
"Isn't this you? That's your money. Let me take you to Changhe police station to get the money back." Mr. Sun recalls his neighbor telling him.
At the police station, Mr. Sun went through normal procedures and the money was handled back to him. He even had a call with the delivery person to thank him and asking if they can meet to have a few drinks together.
Remember his explanation of how this all started? Well, it looks like the delivery person worried that the same thing might happen again and so he politely declined the invitation.
He didn't stop there though, he took a wad of money and put it on the table saying: "I entrust this amount to the staff of Changhe police station, it should be used towards children in need of medical treatment."
When police at the station counted it, it amounted to 8,300 yuan.
At 3 p.m. that day, the police of Changhe police station went to Binjiang child care hospital and officially handed over the 8,300 yuan cash donated by Mr. Sun to the hospital staff.
Binjiang child care staff said that they will donate the money to a family of one of their patient. They said the child's family is facing a lot of difficulties and the money will help solve many of the problems they are facing now.
