Since the COVID-19 came across the world, every country including Pakistan has to face its impacts. COVID-19 affected all sectors and departments including education.

Students lost their 2 years because of improper study. [1] “Pakistan was among the first countries in the world to institute widespread school closures as a result of Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19).” The government of Pakistan also imposed lockdowns across the country to adopt a suitable strategy to decline the virus and its effects on the nation.

PM Imran Khan introduced smart lockdown that was only for risk areas. It resulted fruitfully. Ups and downs also occurred in the economy of Pakistan. But PM Khan made a proper policy to overcome this situation. Prime Minister of Pakistan started the “Ehsaas Program” for the help of Pakistan people with unemployed and low-income status.

After a continuous decline in COVID-19 cases, Pakistan is scrapping all COVID-19 restrictions except vaccination.

Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar (L) and special assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan (SAPM) on health Dr. Faisal Sultan addressed a press conference after NCOC [2] (National command and operation center) meeting.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning and Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar on Wednesday said that the government is scrapping all the COVID-19 related restrictions across Pakistan.

Umar said: the only restriction of vaccination against COVID-19 still exists. The pandemic has not ended yet but exists under its ending stage. Federal Minister Asad Umar is also the chief of NCOC, Pakistan.

After researching and reviewing the coronavirus situation, NCOC has decided to lift all coronavirus restrictions including protocols for indoor dining, markets, indoor wedding events, sports activities, schools, colleges, government offices, and all SOPs all over Pakistan.

Asad Umar said: The vaccination restriction against coronavirus will continue until or unless it touches the 80% vaccination rate, later it will be decided whether there is a need to continue this restriction or not.

The NCOC’s report published on Wednesday showed that there was only a 1.42% positive ratio of coronavirus stood. Earlier, the government had also decided to shut down the NCOC by the end of next month and the National Institute of Health will carry out its responsibilities.

The positivity ratio has been regularly decreasing in Pakistan for almost the last 2 months. And the admission of coronavirus patients in hospitals was also declined. Asad Umar more added that almost 70% of the population has been fully vaccinated.

Pandemic is not over

Asad Umar clarified that removal of restrictions doesn’t mean that pandemic is over, Government will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation. He also admitted that NCOC understands that lifting of restrictions will also affect COVID cases in Pakistan but the decision has been taken after a lot of discussions.

Being a good nation, it is the obligation to take care of SOPs to avoid any risk in Pakistan.

A decline in the number of coronavirus cases may create a positive signal for the stranded International students of Pakistan studying in China. Students may be able to move back to China to join classes physically.

Pakistani students hope best for the world to come out of the pandemic situation. Students believe China will overcome this pandemic too and soon they will enter China to complete their studies.

Long Live Pak-China Friendship
