Starting today, the implementation of an asterisk, sometimes called a star, on the Travel Records e-Card has been cancelled. This was announced today by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology(MIIT)
The asterisk, or the star, was added in front of medium or high-risk cities that one had travelled to or passed by within 14 days. This brought nuisance to many and netizens have praised the move to remove the asterisk from Travel History e-Cards.
China has also further relaxed requirements for inbound passenger, the changes are noted as follows:-COVID-19 test can be taken at any qualified institution in the country of departure, the Chinese embassy at the country will be responsible to verify and prove the authenticity of the results.-Connecting flights are allowed, before this, only direct flights from one country to China were allowed.-Predeparture quarantine has been scrapped, passengers are encouraged to monitor their health before departure. * 所有文章仅代表作者个人观点,不代表本站立场 *The opinions expressed in the article are solely those of the author.
