全球传播与管理（GCM）项目2021级迎新系列活动全面启动

为了进一步增强GCM项目2021级学生的参与感与体验感，帮助学生提前了解即将开始的大学生活，并对同班级学习的同学有所了解，从目前大部分国际生新学期入校尚不确定的现实情况考虑，GCM项目组于7月28日下午举行首场2021级新生线上活动。

本次活动共有来自11个国家的32名新生参加，部分新生因为时差等原因未能参加，活动由GCM项目组2021级负责老师王璐瑶主持。活动以学生自我介绍、线上讨论沟通、共性问题解答等三部分展开。通过互动，新生对即将在一起共同学习和生活的同学有了了解，认识了和自己来自同一个国家的同学，对学习方式、校园环境、住宿环境等关注度较高的问题也有了了解。

本次线上活动通过ZOOM举行，持续时间一个多小时，整体氛围活跃，学生参与积极性高。更多多元化的线上活动将于八月中旬陆续展开，届时2020级和2021级学生将进行交流联动，以帮助学生更好的适应在ZIBS的学习生活。

ZIBS first classmates zoom meeting was a whole lot of fun. It is nice that ZIBS make the zoom meeting for us to get to know our classmates by introducing ourselves to our classmates. From this meeting we can have a little chat with our classmates and find some things that we have in common. This makes us feels comfortable with our classmates before entering the first day of college. I feel that it is going to be a great 4 years studying in ZIBS with my classmates.

ANGELINE ANGKAWIDJAJA (Indonesia)

The first day of the Zoom meeting was really great. I was really excited and nervous because it was my first day at a Zoom meeting and I didn't know any people. Even though we can't meet physically, I am still grateful that we can have the opportunity to meet online with many new friends all over the world. On the first day, Ms. Louise offered several activities that we were going to do. I was really excited, since by doing that activity, we could get to know each other, and I really hope that I can make a lot of new friends here.

My thought regarding our first meeting with new GCM classmates is very promising. Students from various countries can offer us the diverse knowledge of new cultures and languages. Firstly, we all briefly introduced ourselves. It seems like we all have very similar hobbies and interests. Afterward, we participated in many activities together. Consequently, I can’t wait to meet them at the campus in person.
