The Global Communication and Management Program (GCM) offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication for internationals，enrolling students from 2020. The program shall be completed in four years of study. We are now recruiting for the 2022 admission!
Adhering to the long-standing international teaching philosophy of Zhejiang University, the GCM program is committed to training entrepreneurs and future business leaders who combine interdisciplinary knowledge, expertise in financial and business analysis, and a deep understanding of China's business environment to excel in China and compete globally. Students will graduate with bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English, cross-cultural communication skills and a solid foundation of knowledge about China. Equipped with the fundamentals of communication and management, students will be able to succeed in multinational corporations and Chinese enterprises in the fields of management, business, communications and marketing and will be well-equipped to serve as a bridge between China and the world.
浙江大学国际联合商学院（International Business School, Zhejiang University, 简称ZIBS）于2020年开设“全球传播与管理”本科留学生项目并招收首批学生，项目英文名为Global Communication and Management，简称GCM本科项目。学制4年，毕业后授学士学位（Bachelor of Arts, BA）。现正式开放2022级本科学位项目GCM国际招生。
国际联合商学院GCM项目遵循浙江大学国际化培养理念，致力于培养通晓中国语言文化与国情，谙熟跨文化沟通与传播，擅长金融和商务分析和国际企业管理，具有中国经验和全球竞争力的复合型创新创业人才和商业领导者。学生通过GCM学习，既有熟练的双语（汉语与英语）交流沟通与跨文化交际能力，又有系统的中国学知识和方法；既掌握扎实的传播学与管理学基础理论，又具备跨文化和全球商务知识和实践经营技能。学生毕业后能在中外合资企业、跨国公司与中国事务相关部门从事管理、商务、传播与品牌等领域的工作，也可以来华创业、投资与合作等领域发展。

A:There are four modules in total.

GCM项目有什么特点？
1)疫情下，GCM项目为海内外线上线下的学生提供丰富的学术讲座和文化融合的实践考察、企业参访活动。
2)在GCM项目中，学生和老师的比例是8:1，以确保每个学生都能参与课堂并取得学术进步。
3)为了帮助留学生适应中国的校园生活，该项目为每位学生安排了一位中国导师和一位外国导师。
4）此外，国际校园多元化的国际学生社区将使学生的生活更加丰富多彩，帮助学生更容易的融入中国。
Q:Any unique characteristics of GCM program?
A:1) The diversified academic lectures and rich cultural blended field trips are available for students onsite and online.
2) For the GCM program, the student to teacher ratio is 8 to 1, assuring that each student will be involved in the classroom and achieve academic progress.
3) To help international students adapt to campus life in China, we arrange one Chinese mentor and one foreign mentor to support each student.
4) Moreover, a diverse international student community at the international campus will make students’ life more colorful and help students assimilate into China easily.

是否需要提交纸质版材料？
受疫情影响，请不要提交纸质申请材料。纸质申请材料将不予审核处理。
Q: Should applicants mail the hard copies?
A: Due to the pandemic, please do NOT deliver the hard copies of the application materials. Hard copies of the application materials will NOT be reviewed and further processed.

申请人是否需要考HSK?
GCM是一个英语授课的项目，因此HSK证书不是必须提供的材料。同时，欢迎具备基本中文语言能力的人申请GCM项目。
Q:Should applicants provide HSK certificate?
A:The HSK certificate is not a prerequisite for applicants since GCM is an English-taught program. Applicants with basic Chinese language skills are recommended to apply for GCM.

如何申请项目？
申请人必须在浙江大学国际学生申请系统(http://isinfosys.zju.edu.cn/recruit/login.shtml) 按要求填写清楚并完整上传资料。
Q:How to apply for GCM?
A: Applicants must log in to the International Student Application & Admission System of Zhejiang University (http://isinfosys.zju.edu.cn/recruit/login.shtml), clearly fill in and completely upload materials as required.

资料审核流程是什么？
申请人需要多长时间才能知道录取结果?
一般情况下，申请人缴纳申请费后，其申请文件将由GCM项目团队进行处理和评估。通过材料审核后，申请人将收到面试邀请。面试将在线上进行。一般情况下，申请人会在面试后2-4周收到结果。
Q:How does the program team process the application documents? How long will applicants know the results?
A: Generally, after the applicant pays the application fee, his/her documents will be processed and evaluated by the GCM program team. An interview invitation will be sent to the applicant via email if he/she passes the evaluation part. The interview will be online.
Normally, the team would inform the applicant of his/her interview result between 2-4 weeks after the interview.

项目是否设有奖学金？
所有新生都可以申请ZIBS新生奖学金。奖学金将基于申请人的高中成绩单、面试表现和潜在贡献力三方面进行评定。
Q:Does the program provide scholarships for applicants?
A: All new students are eligible to apply for a ZIBS Entrance Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded based on applicants’ transcripts in senior high school, interview performance and potential contributions.

申请时是否必须提交完整高中成绩单？
考虑到申请人在申请GCM项目时可能无法获得完整的高中成绩单，因此申请人可以提供截止申请日期为止的高中成绩单。请注意，申请人被录取后，需要在开学注册前提供完整的高中成绩单。
Q:Should applicants submit full transcripts of senior high school?
A: Applicants can provide the transcript by far since the full transcripts may not be available when applicants apply for the GCM program. However, full transcripts must be submitted before registration.
