ALDI Opens Fifth Store in Xuhui on Wanping Lu

International retail giant ALDI is opening its fifth store in Shanghai’s Xuhui district this Saturday, October 26. And yes, there will be plenty of opening day deals, so don't miss it!

ALDI’s foray into the China market began in 2017, when it established Tmall Global and Tmall Classic stores. The first two pilot stores in Jing’an and Minhang opened this past June, quickly followed by two more in Putuo and Baoshan early October.

ALDI Xuhui Store – What’s New?

Like its four current locations, the Xuhui store carries ALDI CHINA’s curated range of high quality products at great value.

Fresh breads

In addition to being a neighborhood grocery store, the Xuhui location also has an in-house bakery serving freshly baked pastries, as well as freshly brewed coffee and tea. (Putuo and Baoshan locations also have a bakery.) If you live nearby, you can now get fresh butter croissants, Portuguese egg tarts, and pretzels!

Fresh teas and coffees include the standard Americanos and flat whites, but also ice coconut lattes and Sri Lankan peach apricot tea.

Food and drink aside, the store has ALDI’s Special Buys range of seasonal lifestyle goods like suitcases and travel kits.
