Scarpetta is a contemporary Italian restaurant that does fantastic pizzas and pastas. It's a cozy trattoria spread across two floors and is great for birthdays, dates, and groups yearning for pizza. Scarpetta has been around since 2012 and its gone from strength to strength.

Here are some of my favorite dishes:

Roasted Eggplant (¥88) - tomato, basil, pine nuts, parmesan, mozzarella

Beef Tongue & Grilled Leek (¥238) served with Dijonnaise

Vongole Pizza (¥158) - freshly shucked clams, garlic, pancetta, lime, parmesan

Mentaiko Bucatini (¥158) with seaweed butter, topped with bottarga

Bone Marrow Orecchiette (¥188) - beef and pork ragu and braised short rib bits
