The Cathay Room is embracing the Christmas spirit with some excellent Christmas dinners on December 24 and 25, featuring luxurious set menus and a chef's carving station of meats and seafood.

Indulge in a four-course set menu (¥999 per person), available from 5-7pm, which includes a starter of luscious foie gras and ginger bread sablé and a roasted butternut bisque with honey glazed pumpkin, winter morels, and scampi. For the main, a traditional bacon-wrapped turkey ballotine with candied chestnuts, creamy spinach and cranberry sauce. End the meal with an authentic Christmas log cake for dessert.

From 7pm onwards, dinner is ¥1,999 per person, which includes free-flow Laurent-Perrier Rosé. For starters, the extravagant dinner includes oysters tempura, foie gras opera, Hokkaido scallops with white miso beurre blanc, and roasted butternut bisque with pumpkin. The mains are presented at a grand chef's table carving station featuring all-you-can-eat roasted lamb crown, traditional whole-roasted turkey, honey-glazed bone-in ham, salmon Wellington, and slow-roasted Australian wagyu prime rib-eye. Dessert includes a myriad of cakes and pastries, served on a dessert trolley. 

On New Year’s Eve, there’s a four-course set menu for ¥999 per person, available from 5-7pm. The set includes luxurious foie gras and confit scampi for starters. It's followed by a delectable Australian wagyu tenderloin for the main, served with roasted onion purée, crispy tendon, baby turnip, and green pepper sauce. Dessert is a chocolate sphere with citrus curd, toffee ganache, yuzu marmalade, and vanilla ice cream.

Following that, there is a dinner from 7pm for ¥1,999 per person, including free-flow Laurent-Perrier Rosé. The dinner starts off with tuna and mango tartare, followed by foie gras with passion fruit compote, confit blue lobster, and oxtail consommé with beef cheek ravioli. Center stage is a an all-you-can-eat chef's table carving station, laden with herb-crusted lamb alongside potato gratin, roasted suckling pig with sweet plum sauce, a French-style honey roasted duck a l’orange, stuffed halibut, and soy-glazed braised wagyu short ribs with Lyonnaise potatoes. To end the meal, choose from vanilla ice cream to chocolate mousse cake, and cheesecake from the dessert trolley.

For those looking to celebrate during brunch, The Cathay Room will also be serving Christmas buffet brunch on December 25 & 26, and New Year's brunch on January 2.

Enjoy a fantastic brunch with free-flow and sweeping views of the Bund. The brunch is ¥798 per person, which includes free-flow soft drinks, beer, and house wine; or ¥1,098 per person including free-flow Laurent-Perrier Rosé. The spread will have salads, maple roasted pumpkin and apple soup. The main carving station with be fully loaded with succulent roasted lamb crown, traditional whole roasted turkey, honey-glazed bone-in ham, salmon Wellington, and slow-roasted Australian wagyu prime rib-eye with a velvety foie gras jus. For dessert, it'll be a buffet station of more than 20 different options including a multitude of cakes, a chocolate fountain, ice cream station, and chocolate soufflé station.
