International Flights In/Out of China - Aug & Sept Update!

On August 10, 2020, Shanghai Municipal Health Commission reported 18 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19, all imported from the United Arab Emirates. According to the announcement, 15 of the infections came from the same flight and a total of 237 close contacts of them have been quarantined for medical observation.

Per the CCTV News, the above-mentioned flight departed from the United Arab Emirates on August 7 and arrived at Pudong International Airport on the same day after connecting via Sri Lanka. As of now, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has controlled the situation for flight in accordance with the procedures. Therefore, per the fight schedule of the day, the suspended flight should be UL866 of Sri Lankan Airlines, to be exact. Due to the regulation of the CAAC, this flight will be suspended for four weeks.
