穹究堂即将推出年度大展,萧勤与赵赵对话展“道之平行 · 平行之道”。展览由穹究堂与萧勤国际文化艺术基金会联合主办,菲利普·多德与崔灿灿共同学术主持。

此次穹究堂博乐徳两地联展,展出萧勤1962年至2019年几十年间,不同时期的作品与赵赵“蔓延”与“世界啊”两个系列的最新作品。

其中,10月6日,先于穹究堂开幕,展出萧勤“道之平行”、“炁之源”、“宇宙幻觉”等作品与赵赵的“蔓延”系列作品;10月7日,再于博乐徳开幕,展出萧勤“生命力”、“文静之旅”、“神光”等作品与赵赵“世界啊”系列作品。


QiongJiu Gallery is pleased to announce the exhibition Parallelism of Tao & Parallel Affinity, presenting a dialogue between Hsiao Chin and Zhao Zhao. The exhibition is co-organized by QiongJiu Gallery and Hsiao Chin Art Foundation, with Philip Dodd and Cui Cancan as academic co-chairs.

The exhibition will be held both at QiongJiu Gallery and Blanc Art Group, featuring works by Hsiao Chin from 1962 to 2019, and Zhao Zhao’s latest works from the “Spread” and “World” series.

On October 6, 2022, the exhibition will open at QiongJiu Gallery, presenting Hsiao Chin’s works including Parallelism of Tao, The Origin of Chi, The Illusion of the Universal, and Zhao Zhao’s “Spread” series. It is followed by the Blanc Art Group opening on October 7. Selected works include Hsiao Chin’s La forza di Vita, A Serene Journey, Light of Divinity, and Zhao Zhao’s “World” series.

萧勤 Hsiao Chin


著名華人藝術家蕭勤先生乃少數從第二次世界大戰活躍至今的抽象大師;作為「東方畫會」的發起人之一,蕭勤 1961 年在米蘭發起「龐圖國際藝術運動」,是現代藝術史上重要的理論家與活動家。
蕭勤早於上世紀 50 年代開始探索和創作抽象藝術,縱橫東西方數十載,致力於把東方禪學融合至現代抽象藝術,發展出極富個人特色的藝術風格與創作視野,對中國現代抽象藝術的發展作出了重大貢獻。如旅法前輩藝術家林風眠、趙無極,蕭勤以西方藝術為師的同時,在 60年代開始對禪、道、老莊思想產生興趣,尋求中國文化傳統中的養分。他對各種東方哲思的人生、宇宙、自然觀的研究及感悟,使他更能夠掌握虛與實、陰與陽等對照概念及意境聯想,並於紙和畫布上保留手隨心轉的自由發揮空間,在繪畫裡展現「二元性」的對立及和諧、張力與平衡,開拓有別於西方抽象主流圖式的創作風格。羈旅海外60 年,蕭勤融會了西方美學、東方哲思以及對天體物理和宇宙現象的探索,隨著個人生命歷程的起跌變化及內省歷練,創作出面貌豐富多樣的藝術作品,致力發掘人類精神生命的深刻意涵。通過繪畫及自我意識的千錘百煉,蕭勤一生不斷追求天人合一、超越死生侷限的廣闊人生境界。
作為最早成立的華人戰後藝術團體「東方畫會」的發起人之一,蕭勤率先引進西方前衛思想與原作,更致力將中國現代藝術推出海外;1956 年,蕭勤展開漫長的歐美遊歷之旅,從西班牙馬德里經巴塞隆拿輾轉紮根於意大利米蘭,並以此為縱橫西方數十年之基地。1961 年在米蘭發起「龐圖國際藝術運動」,提倡「靜觀精神」,更是戰後西方唯一由亞洲藝術家發起,以東方哲學為思想宗旨的國際前衛藝術運動。
2022 年,蕭勤於倫敦 3812 畫廊舉行「蕭勤與龐圖」個展,並於「倫敦巨匠臻藏藝術博覽會」與其他知名藝術家聯合展出,為大眾呈獻他在龐圖運動時期及其後所創作的作品。

In the 1950s, Hsiao Chin started to explore abstract a which was based on his core concept of ‘Eastern Spir- it’: the quest for Eastern spirituality and modern artistic expression. Hsiao established his own artistic approach as well as a unique vision on how art should be created. Like his senior masters Lin Fengmian and Zao Wou-ki who travelled to France, Hsiao Chin was greatly motivated by Western a during his stay in Spain
and subsequently moved to Italy, but developed an interest in Zen and Taoism – in particular the ideas of Lao Tzu and Chuang Tzu – around the 1960s. Drawing a istic nourishment from his study of traditional Chinese culture and Eastern philosophies, he was capable of understanding and capturing the complex dialects between the void and the solid, stren h and weakness. Free- ly transforming them into his abstract visual language, Hsiao showed great ambition to develop his own style of abstract painting that emphasized the dichotomous nature of the world, which would be at once distinguishable from, yet reflective of, Western abstract a at that time. Having lived and worked abroad for 60 years, Hsiao has been successfully integrated his extensive stud- ies of Western aesthetics and Eastern philosophies, as well as his interest in space science, in his a istic creation. With the e o s of self-discovery and a spiritual quest for transcendence, Hsiao’s creative process is rooted in his perpetual exploration of the deepest meanings in man’s spiritual world. With the endless adventure of abstract a and self-reflection, throughout his lifetime Hsiao has been pursuing the ideal realm of ‘Nature and Man in One’ greatly beyond the boundaries of life and death.
With a group of a ists who shared his aesthetic vision, in 1955 Hsiao Chin co-founded the Ton Fan A Group, the rst post-war Chinese modern a group, which blended techniques from tra- ditional Eastern a with Western modernism, while promoting Chinese modern a overseas. In 1956, Hsiao embarked on a series of travels in America and Europe, moving rst to Madrid and nally settling in Milan, where he has lived for over half a century. In 1961, Hsiao Chin co-found- ed the Punto International A Movement, the rst ever international avant-garde a movement initiated by an Asian a ist with the aim of promoting Oriental philosophy of ‘calm observation’. In 2022, Hsiao Chin’s solo exhibition Hsiao Chin and Punto is exhibited at 3812 Gallery London which also pa icipates at Masterpiece A Fair in London, with a presentation dedicated to Hsiao Chin since the Punto A Movement.




赵赵  ZhaoZhao


赵赵1982年生于中国新疆,现工作生活于北京与洛杉矶。他在作品中运用多种媒介对现实题材以及艺术形态进行转换,着重探讨个体意识与其所处的社会领域的关系。他在创作中关注并展现处于多元文化影响下人类内心的微妙变化。其作品中出现的当代艺术表现手法与传统文化的结合概念,暗喻当今全球背景下人们的生活境遇以及在现代社会中的真实状态。同时作品也反应了他对集体主义与个人理想相互并存的态度。
近年来,赵赵大胆激进的艺术实践赢得了国际社会的重视,他在上海龙美术馆、斯德哥尔摩Carl Kostyál基金会、北京松美术馆、北京南池子美术馆、北京今日美术馆、澳门艺术博物馆、柏林亚历山大·奥克斯画廊、洛杉矶Roberts & Tilton、纽约前波画廊、日本三潴画廊、台北大未来林舍画廊、香港当代唐人艺术中心、北京当代唐人艺术中心、北京艺术文件仓库等机构举办过个展与个人项目。他的作品也曾参加过多个机构的群展并被收藏,包括美国纽约MoMA PS1、美国佛罗里达州坦帕美术馆、乌克兰基辅平丘克艺术中心、荷兰格罗宁根美术馆、德国柏林亚洲艺术博物馆、汉堡火车站当代艺术博物馆、意大利米兰帕迪廖内当代艺术馆、意大利罗马国立21世纪美术馆、法国DSL基金会、西班牙卡斯特罗当代艺术中心、澳大利亚悉尼白兔美术馆、香港西九龙文化区M+美术馆、北京民生现代美术馆、北京尤伦斯当代艺术中心、新世纪当代艺术基金会、北京泰康空间、成都麓湖·A4美术馆、上海民生现代美术馆、上海当代艺术馆、上海星美术馆、上海明当代美术馆、天津美术馆、湖北美术馆、何香凝美术馆、武汉大学万林艺术博物馆、2019乌镇当代艺术邀请展、日本横滨三年展等。

2019年赵赵获得第十三届AAC艺术中国年度艺术家大奖;2017年其作品《塔克拉玛干计划》被选为“横滨三年展”海报、画册背景图,同年赵赵被CoBo评选为中国艺术家Top10,并获第十一届AAC艺术中国年度青年艺术家提名奖;2014年赵赵被Modern Painters列为全球最值得关注的25位艺术家之一。

Zhao Zhao was born in 1982 in Xinjiang, China, and he currently lives and works in Beijing and Los Angeles. In his art, he engages with real subjects in multiple mediums and plays with art forms, emphasizing an exploration of the relationship between the individual and the rest of society. His work is developed around the subtle emotional changes that take place as we are confronted with diverse cultural influences. He brings together the expressive methods of contemporary art and traditional culture to create metaphors for people’s living circumstances and modern society’s real conditions in a globalized world. His work also reflects his attitudes toward the coexistence of collective and individual ideals.
In recent years, Zhao Zhao’s bold, radical artistic practice has attracted international attention. He has presented solo exhibitions and personal projects at Long Museum (Shanghai), Carl Kostyál (Stockholm), Song Art Museum (Beijing), Nanchizi Museum (Beijing), Today Art Museum(Beijing), Macao Museum of Art (Macao), the Alexander Ochs Gallery (Berlin), Roberts & Tilton (Los Angeles), Chambers Gallery (New York), Mizuma Art Gallery (Tokyo), Lin & Lin Gallery (Taipei), Tang Contemporary Art (Hong Kong), Tang Contemporary Art (Beijing), and China Art Archives and Warehouse (Beijing). In 2019, Zhao Zhao won the Artist of the Year Award at the Thirteenth Award of Art China (AAC). In 2017, his piece Project Taklamakan was selected as the poster and catalog cover image for the Yokohama Triennale. That same year, Zhao Zhao was named one of China’s top 10 artists byCoBo and he won the Young Artist of the Year Nomination Award at the Eleventh Award of Art China (AAC).In 2014, Modern Painters named Zhao Zhao one of the world’s top 25 artists to watch.

穹究堂创立于2018年,是一所建立于北京的文化与艺术交流机构。穹究音合穷究,引自《后汉书》“九流百家之言,无不穷究。” 旨在以钻研之心和认真的态度去探寻古代艺术与当代艺术脉络的起始与传承。穹字另指天穹,取广阔,纳万物,意在为不同艺术形式提供展示与研究。


QiongJiu Gallery, established in 2018, is an institution for cultural and art exchange in Beijing. Qiong Jiu is homophonous with qiongjiu, as in “thoroughly investigate the thoughts of all classes and schools” from the Book of the Later Han. It is committed to the conscientious and meticulous mapping of the trajectories from ancient art to contemporary art. Qiong also refers to the celestial, boundless and all-embracing, the venue for the display and research of arts of all forms.
