如果你能解决一项自然环境危机,你会选择哪一项呢?是火山爆发?龙卷风?还是温室效应?一场来自麻省理工关于 “极端天气”的挑战,你准备好了吗? 

 

近年来,极端天气“怪物”频繁出现,吸引了全人类的关注。这些危机虽然看似是 “怪物”,但也能被“打败”。例如,运用新型科技,可以有效、准确地实时收集气象信息,能带来巨大的经济效益并有效地减少极端天气带来的伤害;人类虽然很渺小,但我们的力量却是不可估量的。从身边的小事做起,节能减排,不浪费资源,减少和预防“怪物”的出现。 


现在,美国麻省理工学院的专家学者们向佛山诺德安达的学子发出挑战——如何更好地应对极端天气。3月12日,我们诚邀您参加“极端天气”主题开放日,带上孩子一起挑战,体验科技的力量。

佛山诺德安达不仅注重学生的学术训练,而且关注学生多方面的成长。通过VR科技,提供学生感知现代化的平台, 让学生零距离接触科技的魅力;通过实验让水蒸气液化制作云朵,让学生眼界大开;通过火山爆发原理和活动过程,让学生用另一种方式 “亲近自然” ,用科学的角度了解自然灾害;通过实验,能够观察空气如何旋转造成龙卷风;通过利用阳光和土壤,师生一起打造一个制热系统,从而让温室效应 “肉眼可见 ”;通过Vex编程机器人课堂,一起感受从无到有的百变创造过程。

入校防疫要求 

EPIDEMIC PREVENTION 


根据疫情防控要求,家长进入校园请遵守如下疫情防控要求: 

1.进入校园全程佩戴口罩。 

2.粤康码黄码或红码者,禁止进入校园。 

3. 如14天内有省外旅居史,或者广东省内有本土阳性感染者所在地市旅居史的访客,请在返回居住地后24小时内主动进行一次核酸检测,并出示行程码和返回居住地后的核酸检测阴性结果,才可进入校园。 

不经历沿途的重重险阻,就看不到山巅的无限风光,我们希望可以通过与 MIT 之间的合作,让我们的学生能够不断克服挑战,饱尝成功的喜悦。

GET CLOSE TO MIT


If you could solve one natural or environmental crisis, which one would you choose? Volcano eruption, tornado or greenhouse effect? 

 

These recent years extreme weather has attracted the attention of the globe. The crisis might be terrible, but it can be solved by us. For example, using the latest techniques to collect real-time weather information can benefit the economy and reduce harm from extreme weather. Human beings might be small, but our power is immeasurable. We can start by doing trivial things, such as saving energy, reducing emissions, and not wasting resources. 


Now, experts from MIT challenge our students to better deal with extreme weather through technology innovation. We would like to invite you and your child to join our “Extreme Weather” open day and feel the power of science and technology on the 12th of March.

STEAM EXPERIENTIAL CLASS


Here, you can have your first VR experience, witness the making of clouds and have a close look volcano. You will be able to test how strong tsunami can be, see greenhouse effects, and do robot programming. 

Our school pays attention to not only students’ academic performances but also holistic education. Our VR classes serve as a platform for students to experience the charm of today’s technology. Students will have a horizon-broadening experiment of making clouds by liquefying vapor; get close to nature; view natural disasters from a scientific angle by knowing how volcanoes erupt and the process of an eruption. Through experiments of making tsunami, you can discover the power of tsunami. You can also create a heating system and get to know more about the greenhouse effect. The exciting Vex robot programming class will provide the experience of transforming your robots in multiple ways.

How do we cultivate children’s imagination and creativity through the STEAM programme? 

Countless great discoveries that change the world are the result of extraordinary creativity and unconventional creative thinking. Our interdisciplinary approach to teaching science and technology, in collaboration with MIT, gives your child the skills they’ll need to thrive in the 21st century. These include trying out approaches to real-world problems, creative thinking, and understanding the importance of persistence in finding answers.

The STEAM prgoramme needs support and backup from the modernised teaching facilities. Through a school tour, you will be able to have a look at our advanced teaching facilities. You can experience the real STEAM Maker Space, Biology, Physics and Chemistry labs and ICT room.  

入校防疫要求

Due to epidemic prevention and control, parents should do as follows to enter the campus:  

  1. Wear masks when you are inside the school.  

  2. Please do not enter the campus if you have a yellow or red code.  

  3. If you have travelled to or stayed in other provinces or places where there have been the latest suspected or confirmed cases in the last 14 days, please return to the residential city and have a nucleic acid test within 24 hours and show your trip code and the test result to enter the campus.
