South-South Migration and Development Photo Exhibition

SUBMISSION DEADLINE：10 NOVEMBER 2022

Centre for South-South Migration and Development at COHD/CIDGA, China Agricultural University is the research centre that focuses on the discourses on South-South migration and development. The Centre is currently inviting established and amateur photo enthusiasts to submit high-quality photographs for consideration in the South-South Migration and Development Photo Exhibition. 

The Exhibition aims to serve as a non-traditional avenue to learn about migration, its patterns and implication to inequality and development. Moreover, the exhibit hopes to provide abundant possibilities for knowledge exchange by utilizing new technologies, such as media, to form inclusive citizen networks and foster transnational solidarity in the fight to ensure migrants are aware of and have access to their rights.

The Centre welcomes photographs that will showcase the harmonious relationship between migrants and locals, whether it’s Chinese in a foreign country or foreigners in China (You can see a sample of photos at the end of this post).

Submitted photographs will be reviewed by the Centre and the photographs that will be shortlisted will be included in the Exhibition and be posted in the official WeChat account of the Centre. The photographers will be acknowledged in both platforms for their work，receive the certificate from the Centre, and possibly be invited by Centre to share the stories behind the photos in the Series Seminars organized by the Centre.

Photograph/s needed:

· Original photograph taken by the author，high-resolution copy (i.e., at least 1280 pixels) and not a compressed file to avoid low-quality printing.

· A short description of the photo (2 sentences maximum, either in Chinese or English).

·  No intellectual copyright problem with photos.

·  Photographer’s full name and affiliation.
