2020 has certainly been a year of tough with frustration and disappointment, to artists, to art organizers, and to the audiences, as the joy of enjoying art has been largely reduced.
Keeping optimistic is the best way to overcome difficulties under the shadow of the post-coronavirus world. We are constantly searching for new ways to present and share art. We connected and communicated with Poznan Art Week in Poland, UnknownAsia in Japan, Ubies in Japan, Adelaide Fringe Festival Organizing Committee and World Fringe Congress, etc., discussing the "cloud" art model under the coronavirus. The Oct-Loft Public Art Exhibition-Trash New Order and 2020 Shenzhen Fringe Festival were also launched on time, as we define ourselves by constantly overcoming the impossibilities and challenges, and the truth of our job is an accumulation of various choices and assistance. We aim to remove the misunderstanding between the public and art, break the barriers between space and art, as well as turns the unknown into the known, through social practices. Be brave to take risks and be tolerant for making mistakes, we will have the opportunity to touch the stars one day.
2020 is the German composer Ludwig van Beethoven’s 250th birthday. The spiritual of Beethoven and his music shall be reignited and the public shall keep the spirit in their hearts. Shenzhen Fringe Art Center will endeavor to start the work of the coming years with a new vision and mission with faith that always present our projects professionally and keep the core goals that increase cohesion and courage via art.
We feel grateful to everyone and look forward to a busy year to come as well. Meet you in 2021 with vigorous energy.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
