明珠美术馆邀请知名青年作家蒋方舟，为我们讲述“风景与书”的故事。作为国际舞台最具影响力的艺术家之一，徐冰一直以来致力于将东西方文化相互转换，超越文化界线，用视觉语言表达其思想和现实问题。
在此次展览中艺术家徐冰共展出3组作品，分别为：《天书》《芥子园山水卷》《背后的故事：溪山风雨图》。其中艺术家为庆贺明珠美术馆建馆两周年特别创作的作品《背后的故事：溪山风雨图》首次对公众亮相。

走进展厅，首先进入观众视野的，是三联幅典雅的东方山水画。当观众走到画作的背后，看到的却是一堆纸板、树枝等杂物，大家惊讶地发现：原来这三幅画是由这些生活中不起眼的材料营造而成，是艺术家用自己的独特方式对古代绘画的创造性诠释。艺术的“美”和与这美最无缘的杂物之间，在一块玻璃的两面发生着转换。
《背后的故事》系列所呈现的画面，不是通过物质颜料的调配来模仿光感、立体感等三维效果，而是通过对光的调配构成的。换一种说法就是：艺术家在空气中调配光，而光是散落于空间中的，是通过一块切断空间的毛玻璃所记录的。这块毛玻璃的作用好比空气中光的切片，《背后的故事》系列可以说是一种光的绘画。
“我发现，光比任何物质材料的直接呈现都要丰富、细微。这就在世界上出现了一种最丰富的‘绘画’（在黑白灰的层次和色彩的变体上），这是这种光的绘画存在的价值和理由。”

Background Story: Brooks and Mountains in Breezy MistEnglish version
As one of the most world-renowned artists, Xu Bing has been committed himself to translating between Eastern and Western cultures, transcending cultural boundaries, and expressing his thoughts and practical issues with visual language.
Among the 3 participated artworks created by Xu Bing, the special work "Background Story: Brooks and Mountains in Breezy Mist" created by the artist to celebrate the second anniversary of the Pearl Art Museum was unveiled to the public for the first time.
Indistinct forms of plants and stones can be discerned through frosted glass. Eventually, an image of a landscape emerges, reminiscent of East Asian painting. There is a passageway between the showcases, allowing a view behind the scenes. Here the visitor sees dry twigs and branches of pine trees, and also decorations mode of simple materials-modeling clay and cotton wool, all held together by sticky tape and fishing-line.
Finally, the visitor is able to see something that would normally be kept hidden at an exhibition. Behind the walls of the exhibition space, there is a maintenance space, with heating pipes and empty shelving. A view from the outside only shows the surface. It is only when we try to find out what is beneath the surface that we can discover the background, and everything becomes intertwined in the image.PAM在线|“风景与书”作品赏析，将持续推出以下内容，敬请期待：
