《一梦华胥|中国皮影沉浸式光影展》已于2023年8月19日，在光廷上海、深圳两馆同时拉开帷幕。开幕至今观众好评如潮，获猫眼高分点评，超1亿次媒体曝光，已一举成为上海最火爆的展览之一。
“Piying (Chinese Shadow Play) Dream,” a groundbreaking immersive experience celebrating the artistry of the Chinese Shadow Play, is set to captivate audiences in Shanghai and Shenzhen from August 19, 2023. Since the opening, the exhibition has received high praise by audience, and got high reviews on Maoyan. Furthermore, there are more than 100 million media exposures about this exhibition.“Piying (Chinese Shadow Play) Dream” has become one of the most popular exhibitions in Shanghai.
皮影+光影自古就是最佳CP
Shadow Play - Light and Shadow has been one of the most dramatic and memorable combinations since ancient times, offering numerous possibilities for art and expression!
皮影戏，又称灯影戏或影子戏，是中国传统文化中最古老的、以光影变化为基础的艺术形式之一。是一种用蜡烛或燃烧的酒精等光源照射兽皮或纸板做成的人物剪影以表演故事的民间戏剧。
皮影戏的表演利用率光沿直线传播的原理，由于光线在同种均匀介质中沿着直线传播，当光线照射到不透明物体时，就会被挡住，从而形成一片相对较暗的区域，这也就是影子。因此会根据物体的形状形成不同的影子。皮影戏正是利用这一原理来完成各种造型和场景的表演。
Shadow Play, also known as lantern shadow play, is one of the oldest art forms based on changes in light and shadow. It is a folk drama made of a hide or cardboard with a candle or burning alcohol to perform a story.Shadow Play uses the principle of light propagation along straight lines, used to create scenes which delight and enrapture. Because of the effect of light and how it is perceived, when it is controlled and manipulated by hitting opaque objects it will create artfully distorted shadows, which is the fundamental practice of this technique.
当然，从“皮影戏”的名字就能看出皮影离不开光影。 Of course, from the name of "Shadow Play", we can see that the Shadow Play is inseparable from light and shadow.
而本次展览光廷创作团队将皮影玩出了新花样，以中国皮影戏为创作蓝本进行数字化的二次创作，并携手世界顶尖光影艺术团体Danny Rose、马氏皮影戏团以及中国民间皮影艺术馆共同为世界观众打造了一个由中国非遗皮影元素构成的光影奇幻世界。
Presented by Temple of Light in collaboration with the industry giant, Danny Rose Studio—an acclaimed creator of immersive spectacles with a global audience of over 3 million, and with curatorial partnership from the Chinese Shadow Play Folk Art Museum and Mashi Shadow Play Troupe, the exhibition is composed entirely of Chinese shadow puppet imagery, and classic ceramic and embroidery patterns, a first of its kind.
为充分还原非遗民间皮影艺术的精髓，光廷创作团队将“坚守传统”的精神融入到了整个创作过程中。为力求皮影人物的数字制作能遵循皮影戏传统的表演特色，光廷特邀马氏皮影戏团参与蓝屏动画捕捉拍摄，将传统皮影戏表演艺术的“灵魂”首次通过蓝屏动画捕捉技术，原汁原味地融入当代数字化的沉浸式光影舞台。
Furthermore, in their pursuit of authenticity, the team enlisted the participation of Mashi Shadow Play Troupe to capture the nuanced movements of shadow puppet characters through blue screen animation. This pioneering technique, aimed at capturing and preserving shadow puppets’ unique movements, stands as a historic achievement in the evolution of the art form and a harbinger of innovation for the preservation of intangible cultural heritage.
光廷以数字科技手段为工具，进行了一次对民族传统文化的革命性尝试；将中国传统艺术融合新媒体技术，将中国非物质文化遗产——皮影戏作为主角，走上世界级沉浸式光影舞台，成功地将其展示给全球观众。
This endeavor by Temple of Light represents a revolutionary attempt at harnessing digital technology to propagate traditional Chinese culture, thereby marking a new chapter in the story of intangible cultural heritage, where China's traditional artistry takes center stage on the global immersive digital platform, captivating audiences worldwide.
传统典故+民族音乐=沉浸式匠心视听体验

“一梦华胥”的典故出自春秋战国《列子·黄帝》，讲述了黄帝梦游华胥国，而后天下大治的传说；而“华胥氏”是中国上古神话中伏羲和女娲的母亲，被视作中华文明的本源和母体。以“一梦华胥”作为光廷首个中国主题系列展的展名，传递了创作团队对中国五千年文明的崇敬和思念之情。未来《一梦华胥》系列展览也将跟随光廷走出国门，为世界观众献上更多中华民族美学盛宴。
Meticulously curated using over 3,000 ultra-high-resolution images of authentic shadow puppets, and animation from motion-capture of real performances, “Piying Dream” catapults a two-millennia-old tradition into the contemporary digital realm. This event marks a historic milestone as the world's first immersive digital experience rooted in Chinese Shadow Play art form, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
此外，光廷团队为本次作品量身定制了独特的原创民族音乐和古风配音；观众们将在熟悉的“摇啊摇，摇到外婆桥…”的哼唱声中进入一个完全由皮影元素构成的梦幻国度。在这个虚构的皮影国度里，中国皮影戏中许多经典的人物形象，如孙悟空、诸葛孔明和武松，以及许多传统元素例如亭台楼阁、青龙白虎、花鸟鱼虫等都以出人意料的方式出现在舞台上，打破了传统的设定。
Audiences will find themselves enveloped by the familiar melody of ‘Swing and Sway, To Grandma’s Bridge We Go…’ as they are transported into a dreamlike realm entirely composed of shadow puppet elements. Within this imaginative shadow puppet kingdom, iconic characters from classic Chinese literature, including the beloved Sun Wukong, the wise Zhuge Liang, and the heroic Wu Song, as well as traditional pavilions, mythical creatures, and flora and fauna shatter the confines of conventional portrayal, emerging in unexpected and captivation forms. Complementing the mesmerizing visuals is an original Chinese musical score tailored to enhance the immersive audiovisual experience.
沿着“华夏文明，光影寻梦”的暗线，此次展览在皮影主题沉浸式光影作品之后，还为观众带来了《一梦华胥》系列的第二个作品 --《神游清明上河图》。这是光廷携手Danny Rose和ViveArts，将《清明上河图》的VR世界植入巨型沉浸式光影空间中，让观众身临其境，仿佛穿越到千年前热闹的市井生活中，安居乐业，好不惬意！
In addition to “Piying Dream” attendees will have the privilege of stepping into the immersive interpretation of the timeless masterpiece “Along the River During the Qingming Festival,” brought to life by Danny Rose using VR materials from ViveArts. This 10-minute-long work is also groundbreaking for bridging VR and real-life immersive experiences, ushering in a realm of possibilities for the immersive exhibition landscape. As if through a thousand years of history, in a lively market environment, living and working in peace and contentment. No more satisfying life can be imagined!
展览结束后还有“漂流镜”彩蛋环节，观众可以在互动区挥动手臂艺术创作，感受光影色彩随身体摆动而流动。
After the exhibition, there will also be a "Reflection" section, where the audience can wave their arms in the interactive area to create, and feel the light and shadow color flowing with the movement of the body.
