第二十二届中国上海国际艺术节

2023年10月15日-11月15日

第二十二届中国上海国际艺术节将于10月15日至11月15日举行。本届艺术节将集中推出79台演出项目，包括境外项目45台、境内项目34台，其中13台世界首演、3台亚洲首演、7台中国首演以及48台上海首演。

在内容体量上，本届艺术节的演出展览、艺术天空、扶青委约等项目规模均超往届，境外项目占比近六成，各板块活动增量20%，预计举办各类活动超过400项、惠及600万观众人次。一大批国际级名家、名作、名团将重磅回归，首演、首展、首秀项目将集聚申城舞台。

在内容策划上，艺术节积极响应“一带一路”倡议提出十周年，特设“丝路之光”系列演展以及论坛等活动。同时，艺术节也立足自身发展，在“扶青计划”举办十周年之际，首次面向全球招募作品，首次设立视觉艺术板块；进一步拓展艺术融合新品牌ARTRA自定艺的内涵和影响力，为艺术节破圈迭代，吸引年轻观众打造“核爆点”。

The 22nd China Shanghai International Arts Festival（CSIAF） will take place from October 15th to November 15th,2023. This edition of the festival is delighted to feature a packed lineup of talent which will include a total of 79 performance projects. These include 45 international collaborators and 34 domestic projects, all of which have much to offer. Among the incredible lineup are 13 world premieres, 3 Asian premieres, 7 China premieres, and 48 Shanghai premieres.
With regards to the scope of the event overall, this year’s festival will exceed previous editions in terms of the total number of performances offered, the scale of the Art Space program as well as the number of commissioned projects linked to the event. International projects will account for nearly sixty percent of the total, with a 20% increase in activities across all sectors. It is expected to host over 400 events of various kinds and benefit an estimated 6 million audience members. A host of masterpieces and highly anticipated works are due to be performed by renowned artists from around the world, and a number of popular ensembles will be making a return to CSIAF. The stages of Shanghai have an incredible amount to look forward to and appreciate!
In terms of content planning, the festival actively responds to the tenth anniversary of the "Belt and Road" initiative by introducing the "Silk Road Light" series of performances and exhibitions, as well as forums and other activities. At the same time, the festival focuses on its own development. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Fuying Plan, it is recruiting works globally for the first time and establishing a visual arts section for the first time. It aims to further expand the influence and scope of the Art Fusion brand ARTRA自定艺, break boundaries, attract young audiences, and create an explosion in the awareness and popularity of the general public in this event, which offers so much to Shanghai’s cultural landscape.

首届“RAM Assembles 外滩建筑节

洛克·外滩源

2023年9月22日-10月6日

由上海外滩美术馆（RAM）与洛克·外滩源（ROCKBUND）联合发起，上海外滩投资开发（集团）有限公司指导的全新项目“RAM Assembles外滩建筑节”（RAMA外滩建筑节），于2023年9月22日正式亮相。首届特邀普利兹克奖得主、建筑师戴卫·奇普菲尔德（David Chipperfield）出任艺术总监，以“公共空间”为主题，举办百余场艺术活动和思想对谈，以此引燃建筑与设计领域的跨学科思维，丰富人们对公共空间的感知与经验，庆祝城市的多元活力。由戴卫·奇普菲尔德主持设计的上海外滩美术馆全新入口与博物院广场也于当日全面开启，迎来奇普菲尔德同洛克·外滩源长达17年合作的又一力作。

2023年9月22日起，为期两周的“RAM Assembles外滩建筑节”正式开始，共计超过一百场活动围绕戴卫·奇普菲尔德及其团队所设计的“空间介入装置”展开，以“激活、对谈、街区”三个系列对“公共空间”这一主题进行拆解和实践。

Jointly initiated by the Rockbund Art Museum (RAM) and Rockbund, with guidance from Shanghai Bund Investment (Group) Co., Ltd., the brand-new project "RAM Assembles Bund Architecture Festival" (RAMA Bund Architecture Festival) made its official debut on September 22, 2023. The inaugural edition is led by the Pritzker Prize-winning architect David Chipperfield, who serves as the artistic director. The festival centers around the theme of "public space" and features over a hundred art activities and discussions, igniting interdisciplinary thinking in the fields of architecture and design, enriching people's perception and experience of public spaces, and celebrating the diverse vitality of the city. On the same day, the new entrance of the Rockbund Art Museum in Shanghai, designed by David Chipperfield, and the Museum Square opened to the public, marking another collaborative masterpiece between Chipperfield and Rockbund after 17 years.
Starting from September 22, 2023, the two-week "RAM Assembles Bund Architecture Festival" officially began, featuring more than one hundred events revolving around the "Spatial Intervention Installation" designed by David Chipperfield and his team. The festival is divided into three series: "Activation, Dialogue, and Neighborhood," which deconstruct and practice the theme of "public space."

2023年10月8日盛大启幕

2024春夏上海时装周以“活力互链”为主题，持续打造多维细分发布平台，自10月8日起，近百场新品发布大放异彩。同期举办的商贸订货展会遍布各中心城区，呈现千余个优质品牌；深耕绿色环保、女性力量、文化传承等热点议题的主题活动更是热闹非凡，无论从活跃度还是整体规模来看，本季时装周都已恢复乃至超越三年前的水平。值得一提的是，上海时装周还将全新升级时尚周末版块，秉持“时尚为人民服务”宗旨，推出更为亲民的时尚嘉年华，形成“时装周经济”特色消费体验。作为上海时装周打造“数实融合”新型秀场的探索实践，本季将继续携手抖音带来每天超长续航不间断大直播，以“时空串联”形式链动线上线下，更有专业人士做客直播间，第一时间带来独具视角的时装周观察，元宇宙秀场也将再度通过时装周网向公众开放，利用虚拟现实技术与观众进行互动。

On 25th September 2023, the press conference of SS2024 Shanghai Fashion Week was held, announcing that the theme of this season is ‘synergy’, which can refer to a wide variety of dynamic links found throughout fashion and life in general. These may include links between the past and the future, home and abroad, links inside and outside the fashion industry which help enable its continuing success, or even other, more complex links fashion has between such aspects as technology, ecology and todays ever evolving culture. Since the opening of the event on October 8, nearly 100 brand shows will continue to be staged, with more than 1,000 brands ordering from all over downtown Shanghai, and themed events focusing on sustainability, female equality and empowerment, and cultural inheritance will be held at the same time. Shanghai Fashion Week has reopened its arms to international buyers and media, and will also welcome the participation of many international companies and organizations.

中国上海国际艺术节《融》

作为中国上海国际艺术节全新艺术品牌“ARTRA自定艺”首个自制项目，由国际著名编舞家、视觉艺术家和导演沈伟担任艺术总监，30余位中国当代优秀舞者共同呈现的全感官体验作品《融》2023版，将于国庆黄金周期间载誉开启！
2021年，《融》在上海完成了世界首演。作品是沈伟三十余年来对艺术跨界、文化交融、通感美学之思考的一次集中亮相。早在20世纪90年代，沈伟便开始了多媒体跨界领域的研究与实践。在他看来，视觉绘画、实景装置、表演艺术、文字思想及其所开创的“自然身体发育技术”（NBDT）的开发都具有跨学科的相关性。

As the inaugural self-produced project of the new art brand "ARTRA自定艺" in the Shanghai International Arts Festival, the multi-sensory experimental work Integrate (2023), directed by internationally renowned choreographer, visual artist, and director Shen Wei, and jointly performed by more than 30 outstanding contemporary Chinese dancers, will make its triumphant return during the Golden Week of the National Day!

In 2021, Integrate had its world premiere in Shanghai. The work represents Shen Wei's concentrated exploration of interdisciplinary art, cultural fusion, and synesthetic aesthetics over his thirty-year career. As early as the 1990s, Shen Wei began his research and practice in the field of multimedia interdisciplinary art. In his view, visual painting, immersive installations, performing arts, textual ideas, and his development of "Natural Body Development Technique" (NBDT) are all interconnected in interdisciplinary ways.

朱家角超沉浸艺术季

有“上海第一大镇”之称的朱家角，是上海保存最完整的江南水乡古镇，拥有丰富的历史文化资源。古镇内有1000多栋明清古建筑，课植园、城隍庙、大清邮局、放生桥、北大街等十多个各具特色的名胜古迹和人文景观，9条老街依水傍河，千余栋民宅临河而建，构成了一幅“小桥、流水、人家”的江南水墨画卷。从9月26日开始，为期11天的『超沉浸』艺术季共分为5大内容板块、120场以上的演出和文化活动，将在130万㎡的超大版图里，掀起一场前所未来的沉浸式狂欢。
一边观赏、一边游玩、一边参与的全方位沉浸式游园，肯定可以给黄金周的观众们带来超乎想象的全感官体验。
Known as the "largest town in Shanghai," Zhujiajiao is the most well-preserved ancient water town in the Jiangnan region, boasting rich historical and cultural resources. The town is home to over 1,000 Ming and Qing Dynasty-era ancient buildings, including attractions like Kezhi Garden, Chenghuang Temple, the Qing Dynasty Post Office, Fangsheng Bridge, Beidajie, and more. With its nine old streets along the water and thousands of riverside homes, it creates a picturesque Jiangnan ink painting of "small bridges, flowing water, and households."
Starting from September 26th, the "Super Immersive" Art Season, spanning 11 days, is divided into five major content segments and features over 120 performances and cultural activities within a vast area of 1.3 million square meters. It promises an unprecedented immersive celebration.
A fully immersive amusement park experience that combines observation, play, and participation is sure to provide the National Day holiday audience with an unimaginable multi-sensory experience.

原版音乐剧《真爱永恒》

9月28日起

北外滩友邦大剧院

经典音乐剧《剧院魅影》的续作《真爱永恒》即将于9月28日开始在新落成的上海北外滩友邦大剧院正式开启连续38场次的驻演。
2010年，《真爱永恒》在伦敦首演，依然由韦伯作曲，在风格上也延续了韦伯优美、深情、动听的作曲特点，介于流行和古典之间的唱腔依然充满了无限魅力。这次也是《真爱永恒》复排版的全球首演，上海演出结束后还会去到国内和国外多个城市继续巡演。
The sequel to the classic musical "The Phantom of the Opera," titled "Love Never Dies," is set to kick off its official run with 38 consecutive performances at the newly established AIA Theatre on the North Bund in Shanghai, starting from September 28th.
In 2010, "Love Never Dies" premiered in London, with music composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, continuing Webber's signature style of beautiful, emotional, and melodious compositions that straddle the line between pop and classical. The vocal performances in this sequel are still filled with limitless charm. This production marks the global premiere of the re-staging of "Love Never Dies" and will continue its tour to various cities both domestically and internationally after its run in Shanghai.

上海东一美术馆的这次展览是中国大陆迄今为止最大规模的波提切利主题展，展出了十件波提切利以及其他文艺复兴艺术大师的共48件稀世真迹，展览还呈现了波提切利的老师菲利普·利皮，佩鲁吉诺、洛伦佐·迪·克雷蒂、科西莫·罗塞利等30位享誉世界的艺术巨匠的罕见杰作，堪称一场顶流的文艺复兴艺术盛宴。  同时，此次展览也是东一美术馆与乌菲齐美术馆在 2022 中意文化和旅游年启动的“五年十展”合作项目中的第二个国际大展，得到了意大利驻华大使馆、意大利驻沪总领事馆和意大利驻沪总领事馆文化处的倾力支持，代表了中意双方共同努力的丰硕成果。

一梦华胥·中国皮影沉浸式光影艺术展

《一梦华胥|中国皮影沉浸式光影展》已于2023年8月19日在光廷上海、深圳两馆同时拉开帷幕。本次展览光廷创作团队以入选联合国教科文人类非物质文化遗产名录的中国皮影戏为创作蓝本进行数字化二次创作，并携手世界顶尖光影艺术团体Danny Rose、马氏皮影戏以及中国民间皮影艺术馆共同为世界观众打造了一个由中国非遗皮影元素构成的光影异想世界。
“一梦华胥”的典故出自春秋战国《列子·黄帝》，讲述了黄帝梦游华胥国，而后天下大治的传说；而“华胥氏”是中国上古神话中伏羲和女娲的母亲，被视作中华文明的本源和母体。引用“一梦华胥”作为光廷首个中国主题系列展的展名，寄托了创作团队对华夏五千年文明的景仰与眷恋之情。中国皮影是《一梦华胥》系列展的首个主题，拉开了中国民间非遗艺术登上世界级光影艺术舞台的序幕。
Piying (Chinese Shadow Play) Dream, a groundbreaking immersive experience celebrating the artistry of the Chinese Shadow Play, is set to captivate audiences in Shanghai and Shenzhen from August 19, 2023. Presented by Temple of Light in collaboration with the industry giant, Danny Rose Studio—an acclaimed creator of immersive spectacles with a global audience of over 3 million, and with curatorial partnership from the Chinese Shadow Play Folk Art Museum and Mashi Shadow Play Troupe, the exhibition is composed entirely of Chinese shadow puppet imagery, and classic ceramic and embroidery patterns, a first of its kind. Meticulously curated using over 3,000 ultra-high-resolution images of authentic shadow puppets, and animation from motion-capture of real performances, Piying Dream catapults a two-millennia-old tradition into the contemporary digital realm. This event marks a historic milestone as the world's first immersive digital experience rooted in Chinese Shadow Play art form, a form recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Audiences will find themselves enveloped by the familiar hum of “Swing and sway, to Grandma’s bridge we go…” as they are transported into a dreamlike realm entirely composed of shadow puppet elements. Within this imaginative shadow puppet kingdom, iconic characters from classic Chinese literature, including the beloved Sun Wukong, the wise Zhuge Liang, and the heroic Wu Song, as well as traditional pavilions, mythical creatures, and flora and fauna shatter the confines of conventional portrayal, emerging in unexpected and captivation forms. Complementing the mesmerizing visuals is an original Chinesemusical score tailored to enhance the immersive audiovisual experience.

托什·巴斯科：没有天空

上海外滩美术馆（RAM）欣然呈现艺术家托什·巴斯科（Tosh Basco）的首场回顾展“没有天空”（No Sky），该展览带来艺术家过去十年间创作的逾60件作品，涵盖纸本绘画、油画和摄影，大部分为首次公开展出。以“触觉再现”为主导，这些作品邀请观者进一步思考替代性的感官再现形式，挑战眼与心、模仿与观念的主导范式。
托什·巴斯科是定居在苏黎世的菲律宾裔美籍艺术家，她凭借如梦似幻的表演、基于肢体动作的（movement-based）作品和即兴创作而广受赞誉，这些艺术特点也在她参与的影像、戏剧和绘画创作里有所体现。巴斯科的创作形式不断演变，在持续探索实验性表演美学和舞蹈艺术之外，她也旨在将身体绘画看作一种替代的“翻译”（translation）方案。
本展览将美术馆四楼的空间转变为一方蓝色的舞台，与巴斯科的工作室地面相呼应。在诸多个系列作品中，有三组纸本作品陈列在透明结构上，特别致敬已故意大利裔巴西籍建筑师丽娜·博·巴尔迪（Lina Bo Bardi，1914–1992）。博·巴尔迪的玻璃展示架在1950年代可谓开创之举：艺术作品在开放空间中自由存在，可从多个角度观看，不受任何预设的叙事或阶层关系制约。与此相仿，在“没有天空”中，巴斯科的绘画亦悬浮在中央舞台上。而陈列于五楼的摄影装置《没有天空》与该展览同名，取自黎巴嫩裔美籍诗人和艺术家伊黛尔·阿德南（1925–2021）的同名诗作，探讨错位和回不去的过去和家园。

No Sky is the first-ever survey exhibition of Tosh Basco, highly regarded for her hypnotic performances, movement-based work, and improvisations, which unfold across film, theater, drawing, and painting. This exhibition presents hitherto unseen works that the Filipino-American artist made over the last decade, including works on paper, oil painting, and photography. All the work in the exhibition, in various ways, can be considered as representation-by-touch and thus ask the viewer to think about alternative sensory modes of representation, challenging the dominance of the eye and mind, imitation, and idea.

The exhibition transforms the RAM’s fourth-floor gallery into a blue stage, which alludes to Basco’s studio and performance space. In this theater, three series of works on paper are presented on transparent structures, which are reminiscent of the iconic glass easels designed by the legendary Italian-Brazilian architect, Lina Bo Bardi (1914-1992). Bo Bardi’s glass easels offered a breakthrough in the 1950s, enabling artworks to exist freely within an open space, accessible from numerous perspectives, unburdened by any predefined narrative or hierarchy. Similarly, in No Sky, Basco’s large-scale drawings levitate in the center stage.An installation of photographic works on the museum's fifth floor responds to the exhibition’s title: No Sky. It takes its name from a poem by the Lebanese-American poet and artist Etel Adnan (1925-2021), which addresses themes of dislocation and the impossibility of returning to a past or home. Under No Sky, the studio is the stage; performance is rehearsal; painting is touching; improvisation is a form of liberation.

这次展览将涵盖艺术家从 2019 年至 2023 年的雕塑、绘画与影像的创作，让观众共同感受并体验不同作品之间脆弱与力量相互交织的张力。

Drop Hole is the first exhibition to formally represent artist Wang Yuyu at Studio Gallery, and it is also one of the artist's more significant solo exhibitions in recent years. From Everywhere in 2020 to Borrowed Bodies in 2021, and now The Pitfall in this year, Wang Yuyu has gradually established a complete set of techniques and expressions.
This exhibition will encompass the artist's sculpture, painting, and film work from 2019 to 2023, allowing the audience to collectively experience and feel the tension between fragility and strength interwoven between the various contrasting pieces.

The "White Box" Space Screening Program is a city block youth cultural party initiated jointly by "i-Talk" and HiShorts! Xiamen Short Film Week, using the viewing of short films to provoke debate and discussion on a variety of important issues. On October 5th, the "White Box" Space Screening Program Forum invited architects Liu Mengjie, Sun Qun, Zhang Jiajing, and Xu Xunjun to participate in discussions. The topics included: What imaginative spatial strategies do architects have for urban renewal? How can the combination of image curation and space operation bring about novel experiences? In the complex urban fabric, how can space functions be integrated to meet the needs of different people and different lifestyles?

「消失的法老 Horizon of Khufu——胡夫金字塔沉漫式探索体验展」，该项目是全球首个在埃及胡夫金字塔内部和周團环境进行扫描勘测和建模还原的新型文旅体验，由 Excurio 与美国哈佛大学吉萨项目( Giza project ）团队共同耗时三年时同完成，并由「博新元宇宙」首次引进到亚洲。

胡夫金字塔是埃及现存规模最大的金字塔，又称吉萨大金字塔，是古埃及第四王朝的法老胡夫的金字塔，也是世界上最大、最高的埃及式金字塔。「消失的法老」是一场 45 分钟的沉浸式虚拟现夹体验。观众除了可以近距离了解金字塔的内部构造和历史脉络，还能够探索从未向公众开放的区域，甚至穿越到 4500 年前，揭开古埃及文明神秘的面纱。在游览过程中，观众既可以感受登上大金字塔顶时俯瞰吉萨高原全景的刺激感，又能够回到第四王朝时期在尼罗河上乘坐大阳船航行，领略无限美景。该项目由哈佛大学埃及学教授、吉萨项目负责人 Peter Der Manuelian 担任学术顾问，他和他的团队全程参与了内容创作，确保项目中所有细节和描述符合建筑学和考古学的研究发现。

On May 13th, 2023, Horizon of Khufu - Journey In Ancient Egypt immersive expedition was unveiled to the public at HKRI TAIKOO HUI, Shanghai. The exhibition  marks a pioneering endeavor globally, allowing visitors to experience a novel culture and travel to a place and time incredibly rich in historical significance. This project involved the collaborative efforts of Excurio and the Giza Project team from Harvard University over a span of three years. It has been introduced to Asia for the first time by The Metaverse Project.
The Khufu Pyramid, also known as the Great Pyramid of Giza, is the largest existing pyramid in Egypt and was constructed by Pharaoh Khufu of the Fourth Dynasty. It stands as the world's largest and tallest Egyptian-style pyramid. "Horizon of Khufu" offers a 45-minute immersive virtual reality experience. Audiences not only gain insights into the internal structure and historical significance of the pyramid but also explore previously inaccessible areas and even travel back 4,500 years to unveil the enigma of ancient Egyptian civilization.
Throughout the journey, visitors can not only feel the exhilaration of standing atop the Great Pyramid, overlooking the panoramic view of the Giza Plateau, but also transport themselves to the Fourth Dynasty era, cruising along the Nile River aboard a grand solar ship, embracing boundless scenic beauty. The project enlisted the expertise of Peter Der Manuelian, Professor of Egyptology at Harvard University and head of the Giza Project, as an academic consultant. He and his team were actively involved in content creation, ensuring that all details and descriptions within the project align with architectural and archaeological research findings.

On 27th August 2023, Cai Yaling's solo exhibition Unembarrassed opens at ZiWU the Bund in Shanghai. Taking the relationship between the female body and plants as a clue, the exhibition ranges from beaded curtains embodying the beauty of Oriental women under different gazes, to original manuscripts documenting women's social issues, to the new Flower series of sculptures and experimental creations, which opens a new chapter in the retention of historical images and discourses of women. Cai Yaling's creations focus on the multiple semantics of objects, materials, smells and imagery. Unlike previous explorations based on intimacy, the artist now focuses more on introspective perception, leaving her role to return to her body and self, and re-examining her female identity.

Together the works on view investigate how painting might refresh and regenerate its power as a medium while being confronted with the dual challenges of algorithm and post-conceptualism. UCCA与柏林国立博古睿美术馆携手呈现“现代主义漫步：柏林国立博古睿美术馆馆藏展”，展览将率先于上海UCCA Edge亮相。本次展览从柏林国立博古睿美术馆的珍藏中精心挑选巴勃罗·毕加索（1881-1973）、保罗· 克利（1879-1940）、亨利· 马蒂斯（1869-1954）、阿尔伯托· 贾科梅蒂（1901-1966）、保罗·塞尚（1839-1906）、乔治·布拉克（1882-1963）6位20世纪现代艺术巨匠的近百件代表性作品，以时间为序为观众展现野兽派、立体主义、超现实主义等多个流派的现代主义发展历程。
本次展出的这批珍贵藏品涵盖绘画、雕塑、剪纸等多元媒介，皆为首次在中国展出。柏林国立博古睿美术馆是柏林国家博物馆联盟成员，亦是欧洲领先的现代艺术博物馆之一，作为其馆藏国际巡展的第三站，本次展览有别于此前的东京站和大阪站，将首次根据作品创作时间采用编年结构策划呈现。2023年11月11日至2024年2月25日，展览将巡展至北京UCCA尤伦斯当代艺术中心。

From June 22nd to October 8th, 2023, UCCA is collaborating with Berlin’s Museum Berggruen to present Modern Time: Masterpieces from the Collection of Museum Berggruen / Nationalgalerie Berlin at UCCA Edge in Shanghai. The exhibition features nearly 100 pieces by modern masters Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), Paul Klee (1879-1940), Henri Matisse (1869-1954), Alberto Giacometti (1901-1966), Paul Cézanne (1839-1906), and Georges Braque (1882-1963), each carefully selected from Museum Berggruen’s unparalleled collection. Shown in China for the first time, these works by the six artists span painting, sculpture, paper cut-outs, and other media, allowing viewers to experience the development of modern art through styles such as Fauvism, Cubism, and Surrealism.

One of Europe’s leading museums of modern art, Museum Berggruen is a member of the Nationalgalerie and the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin (the Berlin State Museums). “Modern Time” marks the third stop of Museum Berggruen’s international exhibition tour following its debut in Tokyo and subsequent installment in Osaka, and the first time the touring exhibition has been organized along chronological lines. Following its display at UCCA Edge, the exhibition will travel to UCCA Beijing, where it will run from November 11th, 2023, to February 25th, 2024.

The Encounter Dalí: Dreams and Imagination Dalí Print Art Exhibition has opened at the Encounter Museum·Shanghai Jing'an Pavilion. The exhibition is organized chronologically into four sections: Dalí's Horses, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Divine Comedy, and Conquering the Universe. A total of 136 classic print artworks by Salvador Dalí are showcased, and the exhibition will be open until November 12th. Additionally, the exhibition features environmental installations that present iconic elements from Dalí's artworks, such as the representation of Dalí's famous "moustache" image.

The exhibition features a cross section of the artist Friedrich Einhoff’s oeuvre of five decades as well as comprehensive bodies of work from his different work series like “Personenregister, Miniaturen, Tiere, and Überzeichnungen (painted over photographs)”. The exhibition reveals the profound and sincere emotional depth of a painter deeply concerned about the human condition, a man capable of real compassion, love, and respect. With over 100 works of art, it is the most comprehensive exhibition of this artist in China yet.

As a painter, Friedrich Einhoff was not looking to create a masterpiece, instead be accomplished to give to the world many masterful pieces, large and small, that are both, painterly gems, and sometimes painful, sometimes humorous investigations into the human soul. The intensity of his painterly skills is exceptional and has become increasingly appreciated and admired in the past few years, especially amongst artists, but also more and more by collectors in China.

For the first time, Yicang Art Museum's Dock Project will present Cue Word, an exhibition of AI art by young artists from the China Academy of Art. The exhibition presents 13 groups of new works by five artists, Chen Zijian, Lin Zhuangxiang, Shao Lihao, Wang Mengdi, and Zhao Xiaofeng, which use Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) as a medium of creation, and explore the new possibilities contained in the relationship between humans and machines through spatial installations, experimental games, and interactive images.

This spectacular new exhibition, entitled Dreamer, presents a blockbuster collection of around 130 works by the renowned Japanese national treasure, artist Yoshitaka Amano. The exhibition includes various captivating pieces, such as the futuristic 2026 theatrical anime "DEVA ZAN," featuring a special display of the "PANSA" series prints. She employs a diverse range of materials, including lacquer, clay, and mineral pigments, as her visual language. Through abstract yet aesthetically rich compositions, she guides viewers into the artist's inner world, conveying her sensuous understanding of the ocean, the cosmos, and all aspects of nature.
In her paintings, one can discern the influence of Song Dynasty blue-green landscapes while also integrating traditional European tempera techniques. Her use of mixed materials evokes the energy found in Western abstract expressionist painting. Her creations harmoniously blend a grand and weighty presence with the gentle, sensual power of femininity. 本次展览由上海叁柒贰叁美术馆主办，上海迈勒士文化咨询有限公司承办。由任小璐担任策展人，展览邀请了10位知名当代艺术家共同参与，展出总计25件围绕“线·索”为主题的作品。创作形式包含了架上绘画、装置、雕塑、以及新媒体数字艺术。

展览从东西方文化艺术发展两条不同“线索”出发，以艺术表现形式中最为基础的视觉元素“线条”为核心；探讨一个在创作中对于不同材料的运用、不同历史文化背景之于创作理念的影响，以及最终在不断探索、实践之后达成的一种文化美学共识的过程。东方传统艺术惯用书写性的线条以求“以形写神”，追求表现形式与内在精神世界相契合的所谓“形神合一”的境界。而西方艺术家对于造型美与外在力的一贯追求使他们惯用更理性的方式使用线条，使其在作品中达到强化实景，增强造型的目的。而在不同文化语境、艺术创作不断交流、相互融合的当下，当代艺术家们正在用自己的方式重新思考、演绎着对于“线条”的理解，以及“以线为索”的感悟。

The exhibition is organized by Shanghai 732 Art Museum and hosted by Shanghai Milerson Cultural Consulting Co., Ltd. Curated by Ren Xiaolu, the exhibition brings together 10 renowned contemporary artists to showcase a total of 25 artworks centered around the theme of 'Lines and Clues'. The creative forms encompass canvas paintings, installations, sculptures, and new media digital art.
The exhibition takes its departure from two distinct 'clues' in the development of Eastern and Western cultural arts, focusing on the fundamental visual element of 'lines' within artistic expression. It explores the utilization of different materials in creation, the influence of diverse historical and cultural backgrounds on creative concepts, and the eventual process of reaching a cultural aesthetic consensus through continuous exploration and practice. In Eastern traditional art, the utilization of calligraphic lines aims to "depict the spirit through form," seeking a state of unity between form and essence. Conversely, Western artists, in their pursuit of aesthetic form and external force, tend to employ lines in a more rational manner, enhancing the depiction of reality and form within their works. Amidst the current context of cultural exchange, artistic interplay, and mutual fusion across diverse cultural contexts, contemporary artists are reexamining and reinterpreting their understanding of "lines" and the insight of "lines as clues" in their own unique ways.

From July 22nd to October 8th, 2023, the Long Museum (West Bund) will present the solo exhibition Absence Named by Huang Rui, combining art and poetry. This exhibition marks Huang Rui's most extensive solo show to date, bringing together over 60 important art pieces spanning 40 years of his artistic career. It includes various series such as "Starry" era, Siheyuan (traditional courtyard), spatial structures, painting installations, Dao and Non-Dao, Absence, and performance art photography. "Absence Named" offers a fresh exploration and retrospective of the artist's creative journey.

The exhibition adopts two distinctive curatorial approaches, providing unique and diverse perspectives to observe Huang Rui's artistic development: Firstly, it builds upon the research and questions raised during Huang Rui's large-scale solo exhibition in 2021, delving further into the concept of abstract art and its unique characteristics in China. Secondly, the exhibition incorporates poetry written by the writer and curator Wang Zongfu, which serves as guiding narratives and frameworks, influencing the exhibition's arrangement, composition, and presentation of artworks.

Using the language of abstraction in his painting practice, Förgappropriated tropes from modern art and architecture in his unceasing transformations of color, form andcomposition, both imitating and reacting against gestures or principles of picture-making, which he pushed toits limit and employed anew.Titled ‘Trunk Road and Branch Roads’, this ambitious presentation brings together 76 paintings madethroughout the artist’s career, focusing entirely on Förg’s painting practice and combining hallmark series,such as his Spot paintings, Grid paintings and Gray paintings. From June 9th, 2023, Museum of Art Pudong will host the first large-scale comprehensive retrospective of the work of photographer Liu Heung Shing, titled Liu Heung Shing Lens·Era·People. Located on the fourth floor of the museum, the exhibition presents nearly 200 iconic photographic works covering the themes of historical events,, portraits of contrasting aspects of society, and the real daily life and the real daily life of people in different countries in a specific period. These works are organized in seven sections: "Face", "Body Language", "Timing the Moment", "Benchmarks", "Crowds", "Place", and "Archive". A scene of action will also be recreated onsite to showcase one of Liu’s special photo developing experience, vividly restaging how news images were created, selected and disseminated in his time.
As the first photography exhibition since the opening of MAP, this exhibition is also the largest exhibition of Liu Heung Shing's photography to date. And, For the first time, this exhibition will present audiences in China witpresents audiences in China with the opportunity to see Liu Heung Shing’s global perspective through works that were taken outside of China. The exhibition format breaks with the previous curatorial method of taking events and years as clues, in favour of focusing on the language of photography, extracting the elements of Liu Heung Shing’s photography techniques from the elements of visual culture, and showing how the latter plays a role in different events and descriptions. The Architecture for the Five Senses is an important concept in Kengo Kuma's architectural design philosophy. It emphasizes that architecture should engage the five human senses - vision, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. The ultimate goal is to clearly appeal to each aspect of people’s sensory perception, thereby establishing a connection between individuals and architecture, and thereby satisfy people's sense of space and time created by the built environment.
The exhibition presents Kengo Kuma's architectural design principles through various aspects, including architectural models, music, installations, multimedia, literature, calligraphy, fragrances, and materials. Its aim is to evoke a multi-sensory experience in the audience, enabling them to feel the allure of Kengo Kuma's architecture while sparking contemplation about architecture and their own environmental context.

The Power Station of Art and the CHANEL Culture Fund are delighted to announce the upcoming Next Cultural Producer Season II, Dynamic Architecture, scheduled to take place at PSA from July 15 to October 8, 2023. Building on the success of Season I, last year’s highly acclaimed Art of Craft project, the second season of the program features Dynamic Architecture, confronting the complex and ever-changing urban environment and the continuous advancements in material technology, as well as challenging various preconceived imaginations and conventional knowledge surrounding “architecture”, to stimulate fresh ideas and revitalized practices in contemporary Chinese architecture.

The selected proposal for this season is The Shape of Shadow by architect Chen Donghua, which explores the “dynamic” nature of architecture by directing its focus toward the shadow, a kind of semi-natural, semi-artificial, semi-indoor collective spatial condition in southern China. It identifies and presents a distinct category of “shaded” places and architectures, where shadows occupy a prominent proportion of the ground floor area and play a key role in various projects; where the ground floor and the interior of architecture are transformed into a shared outdoor space for all-day use; where shadows, as ordinary as everyday objects, with low cost to set up and possess a sense of temporality and incompleteness, yet remain filled with vitality and activity. The instability and ambiguity generated by the interplay of shadows challenge the boundaries of architecture, and it is in the shadows that the dynamics of the space lie.

Paris Modern 1914-1945: Architecture, Design, Cinema, Fashion presents over 300 exhibits including architectural models, manuscripts, paintings, jewellery, photographs, films, costumes and digital spaces created by DS+R Architects. From intimate interiors to sweeping urban scales, from jewellery to clothing to cinematic imagery, the exhibition is a history of thirty years of creativity in the city of Paris, for which DS+R Architects has developed a variety of display formats and technologies, such as special projections and light effects, and multi-screen immersive video experiences, in order to provide visitors with an imaginative and atmospheric feast on the city of Paris in motion. This Danny Casale exhibition presents the complete Coolman universe to the audience in four colourful themed spaces. For the first time, the cute and nonsensical popular animated characters are presented in the form of sculptures, inviting the audience to swim in the marvellous world of animation.
Divided into four Amusement Park themed chapters, Bad Drawing Dreamer showcases 43 iconic animation works since 2017 in an immersive world of cyber colours. The exhibition not only brings together the short films represented by Snakes Have Legs, but also displays the precious manuscripts used to record the inspirations. The four exhibition spaces are themed on the artist's creative process and artistic growth, and are filled with highly saturated neon colours, combined with adorable animated characters to create the most intuitive visual art impact.

On July 6th, 2023, the special exhibition Advancing With The Time : The Art of Rubbing and Engraving on Gold and Stone opened at the Shanghai Museum. This is the first exhibition of its kind at the Shanghai Museum, focusing on the art of rubbing and engraving on gold and stone. The exhibition is scheduled to run until October 8th. In order to promote traditional culture, the Shanghai Museum has carefully selected 37 sets of cultural relics from its own collection, supplemented by 6 borrowed items (divided into 3 sets) from the Shanghai Library.

In Step with Time explores the development and variations of the art of rubbing and engraving on gold and stone throughout different periods. The exhibition invites visitors to appreciate the beauty of traditional Chinese gold and stone rubbings, and experience the intricacies of the ancient art of rubbing. This exhibition explores the infinite imagination of art through three parts: This Life,Eternal Life, and Subdivision. Among them, the Flower Crocodile series, as the main creation of Jia Wei KK, has garnered widespread attention from all walks of life. In Jia Wei KK's artistic world, crocodiles are no longer synonymous with evil and terror, but rather represent past experiences or the unease and uncertainty brought about by new technologies in the future. They also symbolize the different facets of each individual.

2023年正逢毕加索逝世50周年。值此之际，展览“毕加索，面具之像”将以艺术家多面的人物形象为主题，本展览由米盖尔·德·塞万提斯图书馆和西班牙驻华大使馆协同举办，马拉加毕加索博物馆作为特别顾问，并得到了西班牙国家旅游局和中智塞万提斯西语中心的支持。通过几位二十世纪伟大摄影家的镜头语言，展览将向观众展现毕加索的个人世界，让大家看到这位艺术家的不同侧面。

展览汇集了毕加索的好友阿根廷摄影师罗伯托·奥特罗（Roberto Otero）、法国摄影师安德烈·维莱（André Villers）和吕西安·克莱格（Lucien Clergue），爱尔兰世界主义者爱德华·奎恩（Edward Quinn）以及战地记者大卫·道格拉斯·邓肯（David Douglas Duncan）的摄影作品。镜头下毕加索生活瞬间的拼贴描绘出鲜活的艺术家形象，汇集成为集体想象的一部分，建立起这位20世纪最重要画家的全方位视觉神话。
A cincuenta años del fallecimiento del pintor, las preguntas sobre su identidad se actualizan con la exposición «Picasso retratado. Picasso enmascarado». Organizada por la Biblioteca Miguel de Cervantes de Shanghái, junto con la Embajada de España en R.P. China, el asesoramiento del Museo Picasso Málaga y el apoyo de Turespaña y CIIC, la muestra invita a conocer el mundo privado del creador y sus múltiples rostros, a través del lente de grandes fotógrafos del siglo veinte.
A partir de fotografías de Roberto Otero, André Villers y Lucien Clergue, Edward Quinn o David Douglas Duncan, la exposición construye un reportaje visual de momentos íntimos de Pablo Picasso, que forman parte ya del imaginario colectivo y que han contribuido a construir una especie de mito visual global.

继“爱即色彩：马克·夏加尔展”“乔治·莫兰迪展”之后，上海久事美术馆“经典艺术大师系列”将于2023年的夏季迎来一场与众不同的经典艺术大师特展。
2023年8月1日至2023年11月12日，“白日梦——稚拙派艺术家的奇妙世界”展将在上海久事美术馆对公众展出。展览包含5大板块，将展出55件稚拙派油画佳作，为观众带来一场由稚拙派开创者亨利·卢梭在内的9位代表艺术家所营造的纯真质朴又充满幻想的奇趣艺术梦境。

"Daydreams - The Whimsical World of Naïve Artists" Exhibition will take place at Shanghai Jiushi Art Museum from August 1, 2023, to November 12, 2023, as part of the "Classic Art Masters Series," following the successful exhibitions of "Love in Colors: Marc Chagall Exhibition" and "George Morandi Exhibition."
