个人简介
Ian McArthur 现任西澳大学物理与天文学院院长，本科毕业于西澳大学，硕士和博士毕业于美国哈佛大学，曾先后在英国剑桥大学以及德国卡尔斯鲁厄大学理论物理研究所有过博后经历，随后到德国汉堡大学理论物理研究所担任副教授，也曾在慕尼黑大学理论物理研究所作为洪堡学者从事研究工作。他的研究方向主要集中于超对称量子场论、超引力和低能超弦理论。其近期研究主要集中在p膜和d膜中超对称结构的非线性实现。
报告简介
To understand quantum field theory, it is very useful to review how it emerged via the FAILURE of attempts to interpret solutions to a relativistic version of the Schr¨odinger equation. This is important to avoid the confusion that follows by the use of the term “second quantisation” that appears in some texts.
