个人简介

Yanting Wang is currently a professor at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ITP-CAS) and serves as the deputy director of ITP-CAS. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the Modern Physics Department at the University of Science and Technology of China in 1994 and a Ph.D. degree in Nuclear Physics from the same department in 1999. He then entered the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Rochester, USA as a Ph.D. student and received his Ph.D. degree in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics in 2004. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher sequentially in the Chemistry Department at the University of Utah, USA and at the Idaho National Laboratory, USA from 2004 to 2009. In 2009, he was supported by the "CAS Hundred Talent Program" and worked as an associated professor at ITP-CAS, and was promoted to be a full professor in 2010. He has been serving as the deputy director of ITP-CAS since 2017.
Yanting Wang's research mainly focuses on the structural and dynamical properties and self-assembly processes of various kinds of soft materials as well as their microscopic mechanisms by means of molecular dynamics simulations and statistical physics theories. The current research interests include self-assembly of nanometals and peptides, phase behaviors of ionic liquids and ionic liquid crystals, and thermodynamics and statistical mechanics of soft matter in general. He has published more than 70 papers, which have received more than 3000 citations with an h-index of 25.

在国家自然科学基金委的支持下,由厦门大学和华侨大学主办的2019“软物质与非平衡物理”研究生国际暑期学校于2019年8月5日到16日在厦门大学海韵校区举行。本届“暑期学校”旨在夯实专业基础、加强研究生科研能力,引领学术前沿,提高研究生进行科学研究的综合能力。暑期学校的课程设置将依据软物质与非平衡物理学科的发展和前沿研究领域设置相关交叉议题,邀请海内外学术水平高、教学经验丰富的知名专家、学者就专业基础和前沿进行授课和讲座。
