报告人介绍

Zheng Yan is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Hong Kong. He got his B.Sc. from Dalian University of Technology in 2013, and his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Fudan University in 2019. His main research area is numeric study of quantum many-body physics, especially constrained many-body systems, highly entangled matter and developing related numeric methods.


报告摘要

In this talk, I will introduce several methods based on quantum Monte Carlo (QMC) to extract the information of quantum entanglement (some of which are developed by us), both entanglement entropy (EE) and entanglement spectrum (ES), and their applications. Then I will focus on the ES part: Via our method, we first time obtained the ES of 2D entangled region, through the path integral QMC on the replica manifold. It opens an available way to measure the entanglement spectrum of high dimension systems. Moreover, we found the wormhole effect in the path integral on the replica-manifold to induce the ES mode. These help us to deeply understand the Li & Haldane’s conjecture-the relationship between ES and edge energy spectra. Furthermore, we have generalized it to more normal cases.
