报告人介绍


Hirokazu Tamura (田村 裕和) 教授 

日本Tohoku University(東北大学)


Hirokazu Tamura is a Professor in the Department of Physics, Tohoku University and Japan and Advanced Science Research Center, Japan Atomic Energy Agency. He got the PhD at University of Tokyo in 1988. After being an assistant professor at University of Tokyo and an associate professor at Tohoku University, he took the current professorship since 2004. His main research interests lie in various branches of experimental nuclear physics and he is one of the worldwide leading experts in hypernuclei. He used to be the deputy chair of the Physical Society of Japan (JPS), the chair of the nuclear physics forum of Japan, and currently a member of the Science Council of Japan. He has published more than 300 articles and received many honors including Nishina Memorial Prize.


报告简介


The “hyperon puzzle” is a serious contradiction between observational data of neutron star masses and their nuclear physics predictions based on our knowledge of hyperon-nucleon interactions. After reporting recent results of J-PARC experiments on hypernuclei and hyperon-nucleon interactions, I will discuss our near-future plans to investigate the ΛNN three-body force by combining high-resolution Λ-hypernuclear spectroscopy and high quality Λ-p scattering experiments. Such studies will be performed using new secondary beam lines to be constructed in the J-PARC Hadron Facility extension project.
