In this set of lectures, will discuss microscopic models and macroscopic theory of topological order in highly entangled many body systems. I will also discuss generalized symmetries (anomalous symmetry, higher symmetry, non-invertible symmetry, etc) in those models. Those generalized symmetries are beyond group and higher group, and need a new unified theory to describe them. It turns out that the unified theory happens to be the topological order in one higher dimension (for finite symmetries). When notion of symmetry is so much generalized, it might be possible that the emergent generalized svmmetry in a gapless liquid state can almost fully characterize the gapless state. This may lead to a new algebraic andnumber theoretical approach to strongly correlated gapless liquids.推荐阅读
