What is “茻” (mǎng) ?  ｜ 什么是“茻” (mǎng) ？

Our sister organization, the Good Food Fund, another subsidiary under the umbrella of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation, advocates a new lifestyle.  In traditional Chinese language, there are four special characters:  屮, 艸, 芔, and 茻.  They represent the spectrum of plant based diet and lifestyle; at the end of the spectrum, or 茻, is a purely plant based diet and lifestyle.  Our hope is that more and more people will move towards the「茻」on this spectrum.

「茻」这个字来源于绿会良食基金2019年的一次网络征集活动。在中国的古汉字里有四个字:屮、艸、芔、茻，代表大家的生活、饮食习惯这个光谱，一个完整纯植物量的跨度；完全植物性饮食、消费就是“茻”。我们的希望就是会有越来越多的人，在这个光谱上往植物性方向去移动。
