INTRODUCTION
Founded in 1999, by partners LIU Xiaodu, MENG Yan and WANG Hui, URBANUS is recognized as one of the most influential architecture practices in China.
URBANUS developed its branches in Beijing, Shenzhen. Many works have become new landmarks of urban life. The projects have received prominent awards, exhibited and published worldwide.
URBANUS is now exploring opportunities for international and multidisciplinary collaborations to conduct a series of research projects focused on the contemporary urban China phenomena, including creative city development, post-urban village development, typologies for hyper-density and others.
The projects of URBANUS have drawn international attention due to the firm’s sensitivity to urban, historical, and social structures, its ability to integrate the potential resources in space and society, and its effectiveness in responding to the complexities of the urban environment.

POSITION
Senior Architect | Urban Designer
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor Degree or higher in Architecture, Urban Design or related disciplines. Overseas education preferred；
- Constant enthusiasm and sensitivity in architecture；
- Strong schematic design and presentation skills, experiences in public architecture and urban design；
- Experience as a design leader and the ability to lead projects through all phases of design. Strong communication skills with clients.
Architect | Urban Designer
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor Degree or higher in Architecture, Urban Design or related disciplines;
- Good knowledge in architectural design, with keen sensitivity to architecture and strong skills of project design and presentation;
- Fast-learner, detail-oriented, good work ethic and team players.
Landscape Designer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Art, at least 2-3 years of full-time working experience;
- Familiar with national landscape design codes, capable of taking on designing and planning works of landscape projects, able to complete the whole process from schematic design to construction drawings；
- Having strong sense of aesthetics and presentation skills, being creative and passionate on landscape design；
- Fast-learner, detail-oriented, good work ethic and team players.
Researcher
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor Degree or higher in Architecture, Urban Design or related disciplines;
- Be adapt at Architecture and Urban Design research, practical experience in research and publication;
- Knowledge of architecture related work such as exhibition design, publication design and thesis writing, etc.
- Knowledge of and proficiency in design softwares, fast-learner, detail-oriented, good work ethic and team players.
Editor
Key Responsibilities:
Editing Urbanus’ work for press release, publication and exhibition. Communicating with international & domestic media and academic institutions of architecture. Hosting and managing visitor receptions. Organizing activities for E6- Space at Urbanus.

Qualifications:
A bachelor degree or higher in Architecture, Design, Art, Media or related disciplines; Knowledge of and proficiency in design softwares; Good English skills; Studied abroad or have working experience on media communication preferred.
Intern
Qualifications:
Studying in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or related disciplines (fourth-year undergraduate or higher); Must be able to work full-time for a minimum of three-months.
