Preface
在本书编撰中，得到了许多中外友人热情的鼓励和大力的支持，在此我们对在这一过程中所有曾给予我们帮助和鼓励的人们表示衷心的感谢。希望以后的1.0版本、2.0版本、3.0版本……你们可以一如既往地支持，也希望这本书可以对你们有一点帮助。
During the compilation of this book, we have been greatly encouraged and supported by many Chinese and foreign friends. We hereby extend our sincerest gratitude to all the friends that offered us generous assistance.
我们深知，促进文化交流是一个很大的话题，并不是几个人就可以完成的；在这条路上，可供参考的经验有限，所以我们一方面在兢兢业业地工作着，但一方面也时常心怀惶恐。但我们坚信，我们对文化交流事业饱满的热情和赤诚之心终究会有所助益。
We know that promoting culture exchange is never an easy job and it cannot succeed with just a few people. As there is not much experience for us to refer to in culture exchange, we still fear that we are not doing well though we’ve slogged away at this projects. We firmly believe that, with enthusiasm and complete sincerity, what we do will benefit the culture exchange.
即使我们力量微薄，我们也不惧怕，因为将来会有千千万万的人加入我们的队伍，与我们携手共进。
We are not alone, as there must be hundreds of thousands of people who can join our team.
在通往文化交流的路上，人人都是主角，而现在，通往未来的画卷已经徐徐展开，我们热切地盼望着有更多的有志之士加入我们，为这份崇高的事业尽一份绵薄之力。

我们常规服务合计开展177场次，合计服务人次4162人次。We carried out 177 regular activities and served 4162 people.招商街道办和南山国际化交流中心花费逾半年时间编纂这部 《中外文化交流宝典0.5版本》。本宝典是南山国际化交流中心首次公开在文化交流方面的许多独家秘籍。本书共分五大章节：语言篇、节日篇、文化篇、志愿者篇、融入篇。
Bible of Culture Exchange by NSIC 0.5 Edition is compiled by the Zhaoshang Sub-District and Nanshan International Cultural Exchange & Service Center, which is the first time for NSIC to unlock the secrets of culture exchange in public. It contains five chapters: language, festival, culture, volunteer and integration.

Cultural Exchange - "Travelwith English" English Course
跟“假、大、空”的英语教学 Say No，每次不同的情景英语学习，我们只想教你最实用、最地道的英语，在日常生活中可以妥妥派上用场。
Say “No” to the false, boastful and devoid of speaking English classes. You will be taught practical and idiomatic English through situational teaching methods which you can use in the daily life.

We will present a sumptuous English reading meal by picking the best raw materials from foreign magazines, including elaborate interpretation.

《如何与外国友人交际》 Hello Talk系列培训活动
“Hello Talk” Training – How to Communicate with Expats
深谙中外交际之道的专业外籍讲师，结合他在中国生活十余年的亲身经历，为你讲述国际上通用的交际礼仪以及注意事项，为你和“歪果仁”的沟通交往提供强有力的保障。
This course is given by a foreign instructor, and provides a introduction to cultural differences and includes real-world case studies. Attendees will learn the major cultural differences that affect how people act the way they do and what they can do to adjust and adapt to successfully interact with people from the various cultures found in Shenzhen. Trainees will leave with actionable information, tips, and strategies that can be applied immediately to their daily lives.

“深圳每天产生的垃圾竟然高达28500吨！看到垃圾发电厂里面64米*48米*24米的巨大的垃圾池，我才深切感受到我们每天产生的垃圾真的太多了。”
“我之前都不知道深圳每天产生的垃圾是怎么处理的，原来有14000吨垃圾都用于焚烧发电。很感谢中心组织这样参观的活动。”
“可以带着孩子来参观垃圾焚烧发电厂真是太棒了。垃圾分类最好从下一代就要开始普及，从小孩子开始。”

Shenzhen generates as much as 285000 tons of garbage every day! I was astonished when seeing the giant garbage pool (64m*48m*24m) and I realized that we really produce so much garbage!”
“I didn’t know how the city handles the waste until I visited here. Shenzhen burn 14000 tons of garbage every day to generate electricity. I really appreciate it.”
“It’s a good idea to bring children here and visit the waste-to-energy plant Waste classification should start from the next generation, from the kids.”
