A new artificial frog model has made its way into a classroom at Mitchell High school in Florida, Mitchell High School is the first in the world to use SynFrogs in science labs.
据悉，这种人造青蛙模型主要是由水、纤维和盐制成的，它们的外形、身体结构和真青蛙一模一样，具有骨骼、肌肉、内脏器官，甚至还有包含卵子的生殖系统，所以从某种意义上说比一般解剖课使用的青蛙标本更逼真。
The models, which are made of water, fiber and salt, have the same body structure as real frogs, with bones, muscles, internal organs and even a reproductive system containing eggs.

不过这样一只青蛙模型造价不菲，每只约为150美元，约合人民币1050元。研发人员表示，虽然成本不低，但相比目前解剖课使用的青蛙标本，人造青蛙模型没有使用福尔马林等有害化学物质，而且青蛙模型还可以重复使用，是一种更有效、更安全的教学工具。
SynFrogs cost $150 each. A little expensive though, it’s physically safer to dissect than a real preserved frog because it doesn’t contain potentially harmful chemicals like formalin. The frog model can also be reused, making it a more effective and safe teaching tool.
除了人造青蛙，该公司还拥有用于科学研究和学习的人造狗和猫。
In addition to synthetic frogs, the company also has synthetic dogs and cats for scientific studies & learning.
