National Day & Mid-Autumn festival holiday is fast approaching. Some people plan to travel while some people choose to continue going to work.

Recently, the Human Social Security Ministry clarified the calculation of overtime pay during the holiday.

On October 1 -4, if a company arranges employees to work, it should pay them not less than 300% overtime of their salary remuneration.

On October 5-8,  if the company arranges employees to work, they should arrange paid leave as compensation. If the company cannot arrange compensatory paid leave, it should pay its employees not less than 200% of their overtime pay remuneration.

For example: 

The monthly salary standard for Miss Liu is 5000 yuan. 

According to the provisions of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the monthly salary days are 21.75 days. 

Consequently, the daily salary for Miss Liu is 229.89 yuan. 

If she works overtime for 4 days on October 1-4, she will be paid 2758.62 yuan. 

If Liu works overtime for 8 days, she will be paid 4,597.7 yuan.

It is worth noting that these overtime wages will be paid by the company in addition to the monthly wages of the workers.

So, if you work for a company that requires you to work during the National Day, remember your legal rights regarding your compensation.
