The 8.0.3 update to iOS WeChat was released on March 29 and also Mac version 8.0.0.

Here, let's take a look at what's new in the new version.

Two of the biggest changes to WeChat are that the maximum number of customized emojis has been increased to 999, and the ability to post 30-second videos on Moments has finally been increased.

Moments support 30-second video

Previously, WeChat Moments only supported posting 15-second videos.

Now, the official 8.0.3 version allows 30 seconds of video to be sent directly to Moments.

The new WeChat version:

Me - Settings - Privacy page, which includes the "Moments" and "Chat" options, also adds “video”, "wow" and WeChat movement".

Now, users can set their own preferences to prevent certain friends from seeing their wows, or viewing their content, and so on.
