Dear friends:

A love for children and compassion for those in need have led Mia Xing to become a leading advocate for children’s education, wellness and happiness. Mia established the UPI International Education Kindergarten, a unique school focusing on the individuality of children’s needs and growth, but under her leadership, her company is also deeply involved in charitable activities and has helped countless needy children. We were privileged to talk more about this recently in an interview with Mia.

As the cold weather gives way to the warmth of Spring, families rush to enjoy the parks around the city. The daylight hours slowly extend, allowing us all to enjoy more blue skies and breezy days, along with comfortable weather. Little by little, the city is coming to life with the laughter of children, families having picnics, people setting up tents for a day in the outdoors, or couples strolling around the walkways of the parks, taking in the fresh air and the colourful scenery of the blooms. This month we visited some of many parks allocated in Binhai and its neighbourhoods, such as Yujiapu, Teda, Eco City and Tanggu.

We also talk about the most useful apps available in China to make expats’ lives much easier, from alleviating language problems to transport-related apps helping them find their way around cities.

Many beauty remedies from ancient civilisations are still used today, and they are scientifically proven to be effective and are sustainable in the long run.
