BLANKgallery代理艺术家贾卉荣幸受邀加入斯沃琪艺术中心驻留项目，已于2022年10月27日于该艺术中心开始为期4个月的驻留生活。
斯沃琪艺术中心位于黄浦区南京西路上拥有168年历史的和平饭店南楼，其驻留项目已持续5年，聚集了来自世界各地不同领域的受邀艺术家驻留生活并创作。
BLANKgallery artist Jia Hui is honored to be invited to join the Swatch Art Center residency program and will begin a four-month residency at the center on October 27, 2022. Located in the 168-year-old South Tower of the Peace Hotel on West Nanjing Road in Huangpu District, the Swatch Art Center has been running its residency program for five years, bringing together invited artists from different fields around the world to live and create.
关于贾卉
贾卉，1993年出⽣于云南昆明，2017年毕业于芝加哥艺术学院，获学⼠学位，⽬前⼯作⽣活于上海。贾卉的作品直接运⽤形、⾊、光、质地等基础元素指涉宇宙万物的抽象概念，构成不同的未知空间，作品反映了艺术家在空⽩画布上对于“⽆中⽣有”的理解。通过绘画实践，艺术家检验并探索物理空间中关于“存在”的产⽣与其间的关系，尝试理解复杂全球化背景下事物存在的多样性与可能性。贾卉相信绘画媒介内部的绘画永不消亡，依旧涵着它诗意的空间。为此，艺术家试图应⽤各种传统和当代绘画技法，不断扩张绘画媒介的边界。
Jia Hui, born in 1993 in Kunming, Yunnan Province, graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a Bachelor's degree in 2017 and currently lives and works in Shanghai. Jia Hui's works directly refer to the abstract concept of the universe using basic elements such as form, color, light, and texture to form different unknown spaces. Through his painting practice, the artist examines and explores the production of "existence" in physical space and the relationship between them, trying to understand the diversity and possibilities of things in the context of complex globalization. Jia Huo believes that painting within the medium never dies and still contains its poetic space. To this end, the artist attempts to apply various traditional and contemporary painting techniques to continuously expand the boundaries of the medium.
