艺术家彭可将于连州摄影博物馆举办个人展览“脱离速度”。该展览由策展人段煜婷策划并将自2018年12月1日延续至2019年3月18日。在展览“脱离速度“中，彭可用图像描绘其中的私人情境与公共环境，尤其关注中国高速发展的城市群体。这些照片以直觉为基础，聚焦于受多种当代材料和媒介影响的，形式上的巧妙与图案。但她的图像实践超出了“直接摄影”的体裁，集中注意力于生活在正经历剧变的城市之中人们的心理感受。与此同时，她在图像的本体之中寻找，由不同的现实系统凝聚起来的出人意料的逻辑。彭可还希望捕捉早熟的瞬间，在那里这个世界的复杂性，被转化为一种视觉语言、形状、颜色和标识之间的孩童般的秩序。

Peng Ke will present her first institution solo exhibition Leaving Speed in Lianzhou Museum of Photography. The exhibition is curated by Duan Yuting and will be held from December 1, 2018 to March 18, 2019. In Leaving Speed, Peng primarily uses analog photography to create images particular to experiences in rapidly developing cities across China. She depicts private situations and public environments - focusing on formal quirks and intuitive patterns of behaviors influenced by the diverse material and media that surrounds us. Her practice moves beyond the genre of ‘straight photography’, drawing attention to the feeling of living in a city unmoored by dra-matic changes, but also looking to unexpected languages that happen when different reali-ties coalesce together to create a new logic within the frame. Peng also looks to preco-cious moments, where the complexity of this world can be found translated into a child-like economy of visual languages, shapes, colors and signs.

艺术家彭可于近期入围2018年华宇青年奖。艺术家将携其作品参与由刘畑策划的群展“前提”。该展览位于海南三亚华宇艺术中心并将自2018年12月7日延续至2019年3月7日。

The artist Peng Ke is nominated and selected as one of the finalist for the 6th Huayu Youth Award (Art Sanya). Peng Ke will display her work at the exhibition Condition curated by Liu Tian at Huayu Art Center in Sanya, Hainan Province, from December 7, 2018 to March 7, 2019.

关于华宇青年奖

“华宇青年奖”发起于2013年，是由华宇集团主办的公益性艺术奖项，专为在复杂的当代文化语境下不断实验和探索的青年艺术家而设，旨在持续性地呈现中国当代艺术的前沿面貌，展示新生代艺术家多维度的创作样态。除现金奖励外，华宇青年奖将给予获奖艺术家在专业领域的支持和资助，包括个人作品和艺术项目的实施、相关展览的策划、宣传推广以及文献出版等。

关于艺术家

彭可（b. 1992 湖南长沙，成长于深圳），图像工作者与写作者，现工作生活在洛杉矶和上海。2015年于美国罗德岛设计学院摄影系获艺术学士学位。2017年获玛格南基金会和中参馆颁发的Abigail Cohen纪实摄影学术基金，2018年出版画册《盐水池塘 Salt Ponds》（假杂志）并获新锐摄影奖。她相信“观看”这一静止行为的动态力量，和摄影的自我投射和心理学潜能。

Ke Peng (b. 1992 in Changsha, Hunan) works with images and writes, while living between Los Angeles and Shanghai. Graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Photography, she received Magnum Foundation and ChinaFile's Abigail Cohen fellowship in 2017. Peng also published her first book "Salt Ponds" (Jiazazhi Press, 2018) and was given the New Talent Award in 2018. She believes in the active states of looking, self-reflection, and psychological effects activated by the medium of photography.

个展与双人展包括：接踵而过（Gallery Vacancy，上海，2018）、亲密审讯（Salt Projects，北京，2018）、Underneath the Tree Where I Buried All My Childhood Pets（Gallery 50，多伦多，2017）、Leaky Logic and a Fugitive Fish（Red Eye Gallery，普罗维登斯，2015）；作品也曾在第三届北京国际摄影双年展、LeRoy Neiman画廊、Aperture基金会、Filter Photo、Gallery Kayafas中展出。曾获学术基金作为驻地艺术家前往美国伍德斯托克摄影中心、ACRE、和The Lighthouse Works创作。

Her recent exhibitions include, solo/two-person exhibitions: I've seen many people although they've never seen me (Gallery Vacancy, Shanghai, 2018), The Secured (Salt Projects, Beijing, 2018), Underneath the Tree Where I Buried All My Childhood Pets (Gallery 50, Toronto, 2017), Leaky Logic and a Fugitive Fish (Red Eye Gallery, Providence, 2015) and her work has been exhibited in The 3rd Beijing Photography Biennial, LeRoy Neiman Gallery, Aperture Foundation, Filter Photo, Gallery Kayafas, etc. Peng received fellowships and was an artist-in-residence at Center of Photography at Woodstock, ACRE and The Lighthouse Works.
