Through vision and hearing, we perceive the world in the form of waves. There is a connection between vision and hearing because they both rely on this shared property of oscillation. The series of works by Carl Berg, which combines the concept of unconscious painting, focuses on embodying this inherent nature of waves.
Driven by music, Berg incorporates auditory perception into his mind while simultaneously opening up his understanding of visuals. His visual creations revolve around 1950s-80s music, primarily rock, with some classical influences. Music is a highly personal matter, and when it is integrated into a space, it imparts a certain atmospheric quality, much like air filling a room, rapidly altering the psychology of the individuals within. This influence, varying with different rhythms and sound waves, gives rise to different imagery within the acoustic field.
