Monokino 曾签约摩登天空、参加过迷笛、草莓、美国的西南偏南(SXSW)、纽约CMJ 等音乐节，发行了多张专辑和单曲唱片。
Monokino (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) is a protean artist of sorts. His music slips and slides between sonic palettes and tropes, transcending genre and creating an entirely new sonic landscape of its own. And his art has not gone unnoticed. Hailed as “a free spirit that finds harmony with disparate elements and a pattern without a formula” Monokino’s diverse, explorative style of alternative pop music struck a chord with audiences across the globe: Monokino's records have been released by Dutch label Konkurrent, Zip Records (USA/the Netherlands) and Modern Sky (China).
Monokino has extensively toured the USA, Canada, China and the Netherlands and completed five consecutive tours of China and North America, visiting landmark festivals from China’s Strawberry Festival to SXSW in the US.
Working with producer Tony Visconti and fellow Dutch artist/producer Jacco Gardner during his career, Monokino has a reputation as a keen collaborator; a trait he also brings to his latest release: “Your Underground”, on which he worked together with J. Laser (former bass player of M83). Because of the single, the Vinyl District chose the artist as 'UK artist of the week': “A woozy fusion of alternative-rock and off-kilter electronics that certainly deserves your attention.”
Monokino has continued to develop his chameleonic approach to music and art. His latest singles "Bend or Break" and “No Return” made a splash internationally this year, getting airplay on BBC radio with plays from the late Janice Long. New single "Baby" follows Monokino's 2021 and 2022 singles:
