The Michelin Guide Beijing 2024 was released on October 12, showcasing a diverse array of 105 recommended restaurants spanning over 30 different cuisines.
In the new edition of the guide, there are a total of 105 restaurants featured, comprising 3 three-star restaurants, 2 two-star restaurants, 28 one-star restaurants, 20 Bib Gourmand recommended eateries, and 52 selected restaurants.
Notably, Chao Shang Chao (Chaoyang), which has been serving patrons for three years, achieved the three-star accolade. Meanwhile, Xin Rong Ji (Xin Yuan South Road) and King's Joy maintained their Michelin three-star status.
Jingji, focusing on Beijing cuisine, and Shanghai cuisine, renowned for its authentic Shanghai dishes, continued to hold their two-star ratings.
Among the one-star restaurants, in addition to the 25 restaurants, such as Huaiyang Fu, celebrated for its Huaiyang cuisine, and Poetry-Wine, famous for its innovative Beijing cuisine, that retained their star ratings, three new stars emerged: GIADA Garden, an Italian restaurant; MO Jasmine, a creative restaurant inspired by Beijing and Shandong cuisines; and Lamdre, a vegetarian restaurant.
Compared to Michelin-starred restaurants, this year's Bib Gourmand List offers a broader selection of accessible options, primarily showcasing affordable and delicious street-side eateries. The Michelin Guide Beijing 2024 includes a total of 20 Bib Gourmand restaurants. Several well-established eateries have once again secured their spots on the list, including Beijing's time-honored brands such as Tongheju, Liuquanju, and Yuhuatai restaurants, as well as old favorites like No. 69 Fangzhuanchang Hutong Noodles and Niujie Muslim Manhengji Hot Pot.
