Beijing's New Driving Restrictions to Prevail on Jan 1

After the New Year's holiday of 2024, Beijing will implement a new round of driving restrictions based on the last digits of the license plates. This rule will be in effect from January 1, 2024, to March 31, 2024. The restricted ending digits are as follows:

Time	Last Digit
Monday	1 and 6
Tuesday	2 and 7
Wednesday	3 and 8
Thursday	4 and 9
Friday	5 and 0

  NOTICE

The restrictions will be imposed on all vehicles (including those with temporary license plates; except for EV cars). Those with ending numbers represented by English letters will be treated as ending in 0 for management purposes.

During weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00, non-local passenger vehicles entering Beijing will follow the same rule for restricted ending plate numbers as mentioned above.
