Struggling to forget a painful relationship? Online shops designed to comfort broken heart in relationship or just being accompanied in difficult times have become a new craze across Chinese cities. 

Some shops said offering such services could generate monthly revenue of more than 60,000 yuan. The popularity for seeking such services has been amplified after the mystery crime film Lost in the Stars dominated China's screen.

One owner of an online shop surnamed Lu said when a couple had a fight, it is frequent to see girls searching for someone to listen and accompany them. Sometimes, friends of broken-heart women would order this new service when they see their friends suffering.

Comforting broken hearts in relationship takes up half of the sales volume of her shop, Lu said. Her shop also provides services like chatting and accompanying others to sleep.

Most customers are aged between 20 and 25, and a majority of them are female. Some rumors suggest the chatting service could cost as much as 2,000 yuan. Lu responded that It was the amount of money that the entire shop would make when the business is good. 

Netizens who had sought out the service said it relieved pressure for them.
