Our Modern Facilities
We enjoy the best Early Years facilities in Shanghai! Our bespoke provision is purposefully designed to ensure our children reach their fullest potential in a safe and stimulating environment. Some of our outdoor areas include a Forest School which will house our ‘bug hotel’ and worm farm, a large grass field, astro pitch, spacious playgrounds and a newly designed multi-sport complex. Moving inside we have a dance studio, sports hall, swimming pool, library, music room, dining room and soft play area. The list just goes on and on!

哈罗上海享有沪上数一数二的教学与户外探索设施，以帮助孩子们充分发挥潜力。宽敞明亮的教室；设有多个功能区域的室内走廊；温馨的图书馆；供孩子们锻炼、发展身体机能的体育馆、游泳馆、足球场、舞蹈房等等。暑假里，我们还为孩子们新建了“森林学校”，孩子们推开教室的门，就可以在花鸟虫鸣里探索自然、真实感受四季的更迭与生命的奇妙。

English Language
沉浸式英语课堂
Throughout the day, the children are immersed in the English language. English is the medium of instruction daily and all children are given the opportunity to absorb the language and gain understanding through fun and meaningful activities. Our older children in the Early Years will gain more confidence in speaking, reading and writing in English with their friends and teachers while continuing to learn through our world class British educational programme. Parents are always kept up to date with the learning their child is engaged with in the classroom with regular classroom visits, direct WeCom posts and parent workshops, as well as opportunities to frequently meet the teachers and discuss their child’s progress.

纯英文的课堂让孩子们全身心投入于英语语言环境中。随着时间的推移，孩子们逐步听懂英文指令、并在有趣的课堂活动中理解语言。借助英国早期基础阶段教育体系，幼儿园的孩子们在英语听说读写上不断建立自信。通过定期的校内新闻推送、课堂参观、家长工作坊，以及家校见面会，家长可以随时了解课堂上的学习情况以及孩子们的成长进步。
Mandarin Provision
中文课程
Our Mandarin programme is uniquely designed to ensure that all 2-5 year old children get language exposure through well-designed play, activities, arts and crafts, music and Chinese reading and character development in a total Mandarin immersion environment.
为了让孩子们兼顾中文语言能力，我们为2-5岁的孩子们精心设计了中文学习相关的阅读、游戏、艺术、儿歌等项目，帮助孩子们在沉浸式的中文环境中学习与规范使用中文。
ECA (Extra-Curricular Programme)
课外活动
All Early Years children are invited to join our Extra Curricular Activities from 15.00 – 16.00 from Monday to Thursday. These classes focus on Language and Communication, Physical Development (swimming, gymnastics, yoga, taekwondo, multi-sport and dance) and the Natural Environment as well as STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths).
游泳课
从本学年开始，每周一至周四下午3-4点，幼儿园的孩子们将有更多机会探索ECA课外活动项目。在游泳、体操、瑜伽、跆拳道、复合运动、舞蹈、艺术、科学、工程、数学......中，孩子们进一步发展语言沟通技能、身体运动机能等等。

Specialist Lessons
特色课程
Music 音乐
Via weekly lessons with our qualified music teachers, our young Harrovians have the opportunity to learn basic symbol recognition and develop aural skills for imitating sounds, pitch and rhythm patterns using voice, movement and body percussion. They thoroughly enjoy singing and movement and are able to learn to play various instruments such as the triangle, tone blocks, rhythm sticks, xylophones and bells. They also love being involved in many arranged performances on stage throughout the year!
音乐课上，孩子们来到音乐教室与专业的老师一起体验音乐的无穷魅力。他们将学习基本的音乐符号，模仿不同的声音来发展听觉技能，利用身体律动掌握节奏感。此外，孩子们还在唱歌、跳舞、以及诸如三角琴、音块、节奏棒、木琴和铃铛等等的乐器学习中收获满满活力。
Swimming 游泳
Children as young as eighteen months begin their swimming journey at Harrow. We want our children to develop water confidence and know how to be safe in and around the pool area. Reception children (age 4-5) start to develop their stroke technique working on their leg and arm actions.
18个月大的孩子们就已经开启在哈罗的游泳之旅。我们希望孩子们可以建立在水下的自信心与安全感，并知道如何在水下或泳池边如何保证自己的安全。在幼儿时期，游泳可以改善和促进儿童的身心发展。在4-5岁的大班阶段，孩子们开始正式学习游泳所需的划水技能与规范动作。
Physical Education 体育
Our youngest Harrovians follow a varied PE programme which works on their health and fitness, ball skills, dance and movement, and gymnastics skills – all taught by specialist PE teachers. We value the importance of play and discovery, whilst balancing this with well-structured activities that enable children to learn, progress and have fun.
孩子们还在体育馆、体操房、足球场等区域开展体育课程，锻炼体能、磨练球技、舞技以及体操能力。我们会平衡设计型活动与自由探索活动的权重，确保孩子们可以更好地学习进步。
Computers 计算机
Within weekly Computing lessons delivered by specialist staff, our Reception students investigate beginner-level coding through games and undertake STEM challenges. Children are also consistently using fun, interactive animations that progress their learning.
大班以上的孩子们还能在计算机课程中借助有趣的游戏来研究初级编程，并接受STEM挑战。孩子们还通过生动的动画来学习基础技能。
